He was just trying to help by guiding him, but his broken english prevented him to do so. He explained situation to his friend who replied "No problem", then told the taxi "bring him to the beach". Morroccan people are very helpful, but also a bit intrusive. It's cultural.

They were absolutely correct withbyou . The first guy indicated that the red taxi can take you everywhere ( the white ones follow a specific ride). The price proposed was also reasonable (equivalent to 5e) otherwise you take the tramway ( 0.6e).
