With flooding issues only getting worse, Miami Lakes Golf Club was in desperate need of change. After listening to a Fried Egg Golf Podcast with architect Bruce Hepner, Danny Martinez reached out to the architect in search of help to fix his family-owned public golf course. And Hepner jumped right in. Construction to breathe new life into this golf course is well underway and slated for a late 2025- early 2026 reopening. The project includes a completely reimagined golf course, clubhouse, top-tracer driving range and restaurant. In addition to being one of the few affordable options in the area, Miami Lakes is also home to the First Tee of South Florida and other inclusive golf programs, so these upgrades will have a major impact on the local community.
