🇵🇰 Pakistan’s love for vintage books refutes reading decline claims Old book stalls on footpaths attract scores every Sunday Which books are young readers interested in?

It angers and disgusts me that they're banning books that are completely appropriate, however, digging through a kids backpack? For all I might spout off, I'm actually pretty peaceful, but if you decide to steal a book in my kids possession we're going to have a problem.

This is beyond tough for me…I’m a teacher I. Florida…my books have all been put away. One national article talks about how books have to be checked for pornographic material or discrimination. I’m sorry, what? How do those two words end up in the same sentence? We are screwed

If we don’t learn from history we’re bound to repeat it. We’re going back in time first they ban the books, then they come for the people

This sounds exactly like that racist "Disco Demolition Night" they had in 1979 which was really just an outburst of homophobia and bigotry towards music associated with Black artists. It was covered well in the Bee Gees documentary.

You know, this is outrageous but the first word that came to mind is how sad it is that children won’t get any schooling in diversity & that is very sad to me. Yes, some wonderfully open-minded parents will allow & make a point to have those books in their homes.
