I'm a die hard red-blooded republican. This woman is not wrong. Our dual income is so much more than this woman's and we are not living a life of luxury by any means. No health insurance. We drive old cars. The system awards people for not working and punish those that do work.

I dont have a issue helping Americans thats in this situation they working and trying to do the right thing. Its the 1s online thats bragging they get 2,000 dollars and food stamps and all other benefits but refuse to work but yet people like her struggle.

This person is at least attempting to make it. She is someone we should actually be helping. I have been in her situation when I was young. I feel for her!

It’s a common problem - if you work you lose your welfare and supplemental benefits but you don’t make enough to make up for it. There should be a sliding scale not a cut off. They are incentivizing NOT getting a job.

How about you get one or two jobs like so many do instead of expecting the government/taxpayers to pay for you!

I had a friend who worked for USPS. Her husband went to jail. She has to sell her house. She moved into section 8. Had to quit her job to get in. If she worked she would've lost her housing, stamps, & check. She has 2 small kids and tried. The system punisher those who try.

EBT should be for emergencies, not for life. People used to work two and three jobs. Also try to have a family when you can support that family. Not expect us to support it. Lastly stop voting Democrat, they will flood millions of illegals in and now you must compete for resources with millions of people who shouldn't be here.

Food programs should be helping people like her, and not people who refuse to work or are here illegally.

These are the American people that DO deserve our help. Take all my taxes for ANY family, single or dual parent home. We help those who help themselves. NOT those who sit at home all day with no drive. Im okay with parents of toddlers receiving benefits. But not school age.

Stop whining and get a second or third job like I did. I worked and 8-5, then went to wait tables until 9. I took my children so they could eat my shift meal and do homework. A neighbor would stay with them if I had a chance to cocktail after. On weekends, I cleaned houses and offices. Took my children to help. I NEVER took money from the government. We at a lot of mac&cheese with cheap hotdogs.

Why ask a question without explaining your net income vs your monthly bills. Stop buying hair dye and and the metal shit you tag your face with. You will save money and look more normal and maybe that leads to higher pay. You have a car loan? Ok… get a part time job like 15 hours a week and pay that off early, then save a few thousand so you can handle any car repair and keep that car for a long time. No more car debt is the goal. Save for your next newer used car in ten years. Zero out your credit cards each month. Stop being a debt slave. Find a cheaper place to live when your lease ends. You won’t do any of these… but hey, I try.
