What do we mean by hand marbled paper? It's a traditional process for adding painted oils to paper to give a striking effect. Here are the cover papers for our M.R. James edition being made by the team we use in the English county of Wiltshire. The oils are... placed on water and the patterns are threaded through them. The paper is then placed on top and the oils are pressed on to the paper by the opposition of the water molecules, whilst the oils keep the water from seeping into the paper. The papers are then gently peeled away. The process is then repeated for the next sheet and the finished pieces are left to hang throughout the day and overnight until they set. It's the individuality of this process that makes every cover unique This is hand-marbling. This is perfection being lots of little things being done well. This is one of the many ingredients that go into making the covers for OSP leather editions. Yesterday, the Government of Jamaica welcomed the arrival of relief supplies from the United Kingdom. We extend our sincere gratitude to the Government and people of the UK for their timely and support during this challenging period. Relief operations are fully underway. Supplies are being sorted, mobilized, and distributed across the island to assist families and communities affected by Hurricane Melissa. Many areas have already begun receiving critical aid, including food, water, medical items, and temporary shelter materials. We are aware that several communities remain isolated or are difficult to access due to damaged infrastructure. I want to reassure the Jamaican people that every effort is being made to reach them. Through coordinated efforts by the JDF, JCF, ODPEM, and local authorities, we are deploying relief by land and air. We are ensuring that every Jamaican receives the help they need. No one will be left behind.

Protesters at Saint Annes police station last night. I have seen in the Echo today that politicians have come out condemning the next protest organised by the same person on County Road next week. Country Road is one of many areas in Liverpool that has undergone massive demographic and cultural change in a short space of time. Many of the locals are upset that this has been done to their home without consulting with any of them. It’s not that they were ignored. They were never part of the decision-making process to begin with. So they are taking to the streets to make themselves heard. And now they are being silenced by the very people that did this to them.

We are extremely proud of this achievement that we have accomplished together. We truly risked our lives to reach this place, as it is located very close to military deployment areas, and the road was extremely dangerous at every moment. We have now started our new project to provide clean drinking water, and this truck is heading to one of the most dangerous and heavily affected areas. The work is exhausting and extremely tiring, but the need for clean water cannot wait. Displaced families are facing a severe shortage of safe drinking water, and more people are relying on this support every day. Today, we are launching water truck number 11 as part of this project, continuing despite all challenges and risks. One consequence of the increased temperatures is that, despite the lack of rain, many of the rivers in the Cairngorms are in spate. Snow-melt fuels this process, introducing cool, oxygenated water into the rivers Spey and Dee. Good for salmon and other fish. Video Paul Phillips.

New Great Value water bottles from Walmart are now being manufactured without traditional paper or wrap around labels This is intentional and part of the 2026 Great Value brand redesign Apparently removing the label makes them look more “premium” while also cutting down on manufacturing costs because of the reduced paper. Apparently they’re more environmentally friendly A lot of shoppers thought the labels fell off but that’s not the case

I’m insanely proud of this piece and the collection. This is edition #2 of Left Alone and whomever collects the digital version of it, can claim this if they want it. Description ⬇️: Left Alone by Archie Shepp (1978) is one of the most beautiful pieces of instrumental music I know. A saxophone, accompanied by a piano, plays notes that resonate with my heart. In my mind, this photograph moves with an impossible slowness to an undefinable silence between notes in jazz riff. The duality in this Aria, Left Alone, is nihilism and conflagration. I posed the model and the fabric in the Japanese character for fire. She models the pose of power in the fluidity of dance. A flame, alone, is a powerful and fragile life force that is on the brink of greatness, and the precipice of darkness; life extinguished. The red is her power extending from heart center and the white is the searing flame. The art is laden with abstractions. Broken pieces of the self that seem grotesque but to the observer, are beautiful. To illustrate how these glitches are manifest in ourselves, I’ve placed each on a Fibonacci curve that spirals from the heart, representing our repeating thought patterns. In Left Alone, I chose to hide the Fibonacci curve. In the latter Arias, I chose to reveal them. You can find the Aria collection on Foundation 🌐 This is Left Alone, the second of nine pieces.

The destruction is indescribable. The rubble is everywhere. People live among the ruins without shelter, without electricity, without water, and without a voice that reaches the outside world. Thousands of families are displaced. Children sleep under the rain and in the cold, as if they don’t matter to this silent world. Alberta, Help us identify this man. He walked into Mitch Sylvestre's store, placed two bullets on the counter and said "These are for Mitch." If you know who this man is, contact the RCMP. Here's a statement from Mitch Sylvestre "We will take pictures of you and then we will put you up on the internet and then we will find you. We will identify you. Then we will charge you. And anyone that tells you to do that, we will charge them as well. We will take every step that we can to protect our people. We are conducting a legal democratic path laid out by the Supreme Court of Canada for Alberta Independence."

I met with representatives of the American think tank Hudson Institute and informed them about the consequences of Russian strikes in recent days. In light of these attacks, it is particularly important to bolster Ukraine’s air defense, and we are grateful to the United States of America and to all caring Americans for their support of Ukraine, which we have felt throughout all the years of this full-scale Russian aggression. During the meeting, we discussed cooperation with the U.S. Congress, diplomatic work to achieve a dignified peace, and the importance of active U.S. participation in the negotiation process. We are counting on an end to the pause in the negotiations and the reinvigoration of diplomacy. This is important for saving the lives of our people and restoring security in Europe.
