'Where do you stop!' Monty Python star John Cleese is working on a stage production of, The Life of Brian. In the film version, a character explains he wants to be a woman called Loretta and 'have babies', before being told this was impossible. But some actors have warned this joke could 'offend people'. Should the Monty Python ‘pregnant man’ joke be scrapped?

Budget Padding was why Peter Obi was impeached. He refused to allow the PDP led House to pad the budget. He scrutinized every item, line by line. You know what the lawmakers did? They impeached him! A President Obi will not sign a padded budget. You can take this to the bank.

Machiavelli learned politics by trying to save his city from Cesare Borgia - a conqueror so terrifying and charismatic that people thought he was the Antichrist. Machiavelli was Florence’s ambassador to Borgia. His job was to convince the tyrant that the city was a loyal ally. He did whatever it took to stay on Borgia’s side, even betraying Florence’s allies. He didn’t even think he could avoid an invasion altogether; he just hoped he could buy time. It was a desperate strategy, and it worked. The ruthlessness Machiavelli was forced to learn to save his city inspired The Prince. And you can still see his obsession with this charismatic warlord in books he wrote decades later.
