His analysis has a few good points but his suggested action would be ineffective. The correct course of action is to use MAGA, organize it to the local level, and organize the primary process to root out every politician who will not drive our priorities. As soon as we won the election in 2024 we should have been preparing for the 2026 midterms. We won’t get the people we need in office in 2026 because we didn’t recruit, vette, and support candidates in 2024-25. It must be a perpetual campaign process to find promising individuals to replace failed politicians.

If you are voting for a tax increase or new tax of any kind, you are the problem. In Washington state we often vote to reauthorize existing taxes. The answer should be NO. We must reset our taxes. The government is so big they can't account for the money we are giving them. This must stop.

So, no taxation without representation? Where have we heard that before?

I believe Joel Cajun is mostly correct. I'd like to replace the "Cowards" with the word, "Owned." IN MY OPINION, the politicians in Congress are almost entirely owned or indebted to entities with BIG MONEY. The Money People interact with new congress people and use whatever trick will best work on a new member. Over time, for many (if not most) of the politicians - an "arrangement" is made. The Congress member receives "supplemental income" (in various ways) and - in return - votes in the interests of their "moneyed partners." I have never personally witnessed this, but I believe that what I just described is VERY close to the actual truth. SO I'd like us all to change our "filters" about the behavior of people in public office (notably Congress). I'd like us to stop using the "coward" term. A coward is a flawed human - often with good intentions, but lacking the will to DO what he/she knows is the right thing. Cowardice is a character flaw. The "Owned" person is a totally different creature. It enters into the arrangement(s) with the Moneyed People KNOWING it's morally and legally wrong to do so. Premeditated actions, in essence. Yet, the "Owned One" continues for several reasons. One: to keep the money flowing. Two: because NOW the Moneyed Person has DIRT on the Owned One, by virtue of his/her violation of its Oath of Office and the laws that govern Congressional Behavior (such as they are). And, THAT is how I see the Web that surrounds and encompasses Congress working. The keys for me were the behaviors of the Congress members. Analyze every vote they make and ask who has benefitted most by THAT vote? Before very long, you will see patterns emerge. And those patterns are open to further exposition and interpretation.
