It's 13 2 week working swings not 26. Annual pay $7,224 × 13 is $93,912.

You're right 👍

You didn't get hired for your math skills.

It doesn’t pay well enough for him to get better at math!

You're correct 💯

Your math is off. 2 weeks on 2 weeks off comes out to 13 pay periods not 26.

He doesn’t work 26 shifts. He works 13. $93 912.00. Maybe he should fucking back to school.

That’s 13 work cycles (full swings), not 26. You’re paid for the 13 work cycles. Then, when you’re at home, you don’t get paid.

That’s not an offshore oil rig. That’s a work boat supplying an offshore oil rig. I’d also be skeptical of the $43 an hour. I was making $27/hour working floors

This is a lie. Starting wages for someone who's never worked. Offshore is $20 to $24 and hour

Ummm. That math does NOT check out. You work 2 weeks per month. You make 7-8 grand a month. You make 80-90k a year. Still pretty good, but not 170k

Math is wrong, it’s 7,224 x 13 for start. Salary is definitely mid-level and not entry… Video shows Roustabout on supply vessel, not the same as working on platform in the Oil and Gas Industry. Click bait

They don’t pay $43 an hour starting and working 12 hour days/60 hours a week with no overtime is trash

Your math needs a little work. At the very least you’re paying yourself for a full years work but you only work - essentially for one half of the year - therefore your pay is roughly half of what you say or about $87-90k annually.

Working at a shipyard pays about the same, with continuous work through the year, is much safer and you get to go home every day. Why is he watering the ocean?

Not only are you doing 13 swings not 26. But you are putting an average of 8 hrs per swing of overtime in and not getting paid overtime pay for it.
