HODGES: I love waking up every morning and seeing smoke coming from Russian oil terminal, or bridge that’s been hit, or Russian convoy vehicles on fire. I love seeing pictures of Russian tourists in Crimea who are amazed at what’s happening. They can’t believe this is happening. To me, this just shows that Russian government has not been honest with its people about the true state of the war. I mean, who would take their family to Crimea for a summer holiday in the middle of the war with everything that’s going on? So now, Russian population is starting to experience a little of what Ukrainians have been dealing with for years. It’s clear to me that the momentum has shifted in favor of Ukraine. It’s becoming increasingly obvious, even to skeptics who weren’t sure Ukraine could pull this off. I think it’s very important that both Ukraine and the West keep their foot on the gas and don’t let up now.

Rubio is now saying that NATO countries supposedly don’t want to supply Ukraine with air defense systems to protect civilians from Russian attacks. If that’s true, it’s only because NATO countries clearly understand that no one is likely to protect THEM when Russia attacks. And of course, it’s absurd to say that Ukraine wants something it “cannot” take back militarily. Ukraine doesn’t want to take anything. Ukraine has the right to be on its own land — and so does the Ukrainian army. It’s very convenient to first FORCIBLY DISARM a country under the guise of security guarantees, and then pressure it to give everything up and betray its own people.

It was an honor for me to address the Norwegian Parliament and people for the second time, this time in person. Norway was the first country to approve a long-term support program for Ukraine, setting an example for other nations. Today’s Ukraine-Northern Europe Summit affirmed that support for Ukraine is becoming long-term. This is a huge step. It’s not just about sending the right signal to Moscow—that Ukraine won’t be abandoned. It’s about sending the right signal to our people, our soldiers, and everyone in Ukraine who is fighting and working for freedom. This is vital for people’s motivation, and not only in Ukraine. The 21st century should not be a period in which dictators triumph. And it won’t be. We must do enough for this!

Today, our insane neighbor has once again revealed its true nature—its disdain for dignity, freedom, and human life itself. And, most of all, its fear. Fear so overwhelming that it unleashes missile after missile, scouring the globe for more weapons—whether from Iran or North Korea. Today, it was a new Russian missile. Its speed and altitude suggest intercontinental ballistic capabilities. Investigations are ongoing. It’s clear that Putin is using Ukraine as a testing ground. It’s also clear that he is terrified of normal life next to him. A life where people live with dignity. A country that wants to be free and has the right to be independent. Putin will do anything to keep his neighbor from slipping out of his grasp. And I thank every Ukrainian—men and women alike—who defend Ukraine from this evil with resilience, bravery, and strength. What? Who is the woke right? There seems to be an attempt to discredit the entire debate. It’s about an abuse that is happening in the program and entry level people being replaced. It’s not about talented people coming in to add Exhibit A: Disney used H1B to layoff employees and train their foreign replacements. I don’t care where you live or who is replacing you. It’s wrong.

I met a 21-year-old soldier who earned equivalent of the Medal of Honor after thousand successful drone missions killing Russians. I do think it’s an existential battle. There really is a moral center to Ukraine, and it’s such a lovely place. I want to take my wife and kids to Odesa when it calms down — it’s very beautiful.

AOC: It’s beyond just the American service members who have tragically died in this, and our hearts do go out in prayer to their families, but also the over 100 Iranian schoolgirls who have been killed in these attacks, and the countless people who are affected, possibly displaced as well. This is really about our humanity and strategic interests. It’s both the same thing — that a war with Iran, and global war, is just not what Americans want, and I don’t think that it’s what the majority of people around the world want.
