How to Deal with Islamist Terrorists in the Middle East? On January 17, 2022, the Yemen-based Houthi Islamists, an antisemitic militia notorious for chanting "Death to the U.S., U.K., and Jews," launched a drone attack on the UAE. Within minutes, our aircraft intercepted and destroyed the drones, neutralizing those responsible for the launch. The message was clear: zero negotiations, zero ceasefires, and zero tolerance for anyone who dares to harm our nation or those living within its borders. Zero means zero. As Emiratis, we commemorate this day as a symbol of strength, resilience, and solidarity, a lasting source of pride and honor. These Islamist terrorists, driven by racism, hatred, and antisemitism, were given no opportunity to regroup or retaliate. The terrorist attack on our nation highlighted the grave danger posed by extremist ideologies. Terrorism cannot be contained; it must be eradicated. Cut off their funding, as it is used to hire lobbyists, lawyers, and defenders for their rapists, criminals, and terrorists. Charities like Islamic Relief in the UK facilitate this plague. The Islamist Muslim Brotherhood must not be allowed to control national resources, as has been seen in Birmingham (UK), Syria, Yemen, and Gaza. The UAE’s response sent a clear message: zero tolerance for terrorism, past, present, or future. Any threat to our security will be crushed. Unlike others who turn a blind eye to terror within their borders, we stand united and strong. To be a peaceful and developed nation, one must first be strong. That is the #UAE.
