Today marks General Availability of AgentCore, a set of infrastructure building blocks for developers and companies to build secure, scalable agents. When we first started AWS, the vast majority of developers were spending most of their time on the undifferentiated heavy lifting of infrastructure instead of what differentiated their feature. So, we solved that problem by building primitive building blocks like compute and storage and database that would allow teammates and customers to quickly build and deploy new experiences without having to reinvent the wheel each time. We realized the same thing was happening with AI agents. It's too difficult and it's slowing customers down. That's why we created AgentCore, a set of services to build, deploy, and operate highly capable agents using any framework or model, with enterprise-grade security and scalability. These building blocks (like serverless secure runtime, memory, observability, a gateway that does MCP translation, etc) help customers tackle some of the biggest challenges of going from prototype to production, much more quickly, securely, and scalably. AgentCore has been in preview for several weeks, and customers have been quite excited about it. The AgentCore SDK has already been downloaded over a million times and we're seeing transformative results, such as Cohere Health expecting to reduce medical review times by 30-40% in highly regulated healthcare, and teams at Cox Automotive and Experian are embracing its flexibility to deploy and operate agents at scale. Inside Amazon, our Amazon Devices Operations & Supply Chain team is using AgentCore to develop an agentic manufacturing approach where AI agents work together to automate manual processes – turning what used to be days of engineering time into processes that take under an hour with high precision. Just like AWS changed how companies build and scale applications, we believe AgentCore will do the same for AI agents, enabling the next generation of innovation.

Today, let’s talk about the possibilities of We’re living in a generation where IP is exploding. Web2 and Web3 are all about IP and everything is tied to digital identity. Be it a PFP or a brand, it carries personality and value. So let’s use NFTs as an example. NFTs are built around IPs. Characters that build the community and the world of a project. (I’ve been in the NFT space for 3-4 years. So yes, I’ve seen the cycle.) Some questions : - Beyond the image, how do we bring utility to every character? - What stories do they hold? - What personalities do they have? - Can each one have a digital identity beyond just being a PFP? - And most importantly : how can it talk to millions of people without the owner replying to every message? At first glance, it may appear to be a normal black patch, but in reality, the surface is completely damaged, filled with loose stones, mud, uneven patches, and crater-like potholes. This has turned what should be a safe public road into a serious hazard for commuters. The question every taxpayer is asking is: where is the tax money going? Citizens pay road tax, property tax, fuel tax, and various other charges, yet basic road infrastructure continues to deteriorate. During the rainy season, these roads get flooded and resemble small lakes, making travel dangerous and difficult. When there is no rain, the situation is hardly any better, as loose gravel, broken surfaces, and potholes pose risks to motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians alike. Bengaluru is known as India's technology capital, but many of its roads continue to reflect poor planning, delayed maintenance, and a lack of accountability. Huge update.. I joined Cognition I’m so incredibly proud of what we built at PromptLayer. Although it feels a little surreal, I know the team is left in amazing hands. I’ll be staying on as an advisor and can’t wait to see where they take it. We started PromptLayer four years ago, and we practically coined the term “prompt engineering”. ChatGPT had come out weeks prior. Nobody knew exactly how LLMs would evolve, but we did know it will completely change the way we build. We were the first developer platform for this new type of builder. Cognition feels like an extension of this vision. Devin is how this new builder will imagine, invent, and create. We're entering the age of software abundance, to steal a term from Scott Wu Everything is Coding Agents. It’s the single biggest problem in AI. Cognition is one of the fastest growing companies ever. But I think the team is what really sold it for me- it's packed with so many former founders Excited to share more soon...

This is exactly why I keep saying, Lets focus on the basics before chasing mega projects because of our population 😢🥺💔 Just look at the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge. A multi-billion-naira piece of infrastructure built under Fashola, properly maintained under Ambode, and now showing signs of neglect, with grass literally growing around parts of the bridge. How did we get here? I appreciate the infrastructure this administration is trying to build, but what is the point of new projects when the infrastructure we already have is deteriorating? Lagos needs a serious maintenance culture. Fix the roads, clean the city, enforce environmental standards, landscape public spaces and maintain existing infrastructure before embarking on endless ribbon-cutting projects. Road infrastructure and environmental aesthetics can transform Lagos way more in this digital age. They improve quality of life, attract global tourism, unlock investment and make skilled Nigerians and foreigners want to stay, invest and bring their families here. Investors don't just need mega projects; they need a city that is clean, functional, safe and pleasant to live in. And I understand that infrastructure is expensive, especially with today's exchange rate. That is why Govt should also consider bringing back tolls on suitable roads and using the revenue specifically for maintenance. Lagos has the population, talent, investment, connectivity and economic potential. What it needs is disciplined management. Success attracts both people who want to build and those who want to exploit or destroy; government must protect the city while supporting those contributing positively to it. So, to the current governor: Sir please, look around Lagos before you leave office. You have done things worth appreciating, but the environmental and maintenance decline needs urgent attention. Leave the next administration a city that is properly maintained, not one where infrastructure built by previous governments is allowed to deteriorate. And to whoever becomes governor in 2027: please sir make maintenance, roads, environmental aesthetics, law and order your priority before chasing more mega projects. Give Lagos a clean, beautiful and functional environment, and you will have a legacy people can actually see and feel. Lagos has not reached its prime. We can build on what we already have and make it even better than the Lagos of Fashola and Ambode. And I understand that infrastructure is expensive, especially with today's exchange rate. That is why Govt should also consider bringing back tolls on suitable roads and using the revenue specifically for maintenance. Lagos has the population, talent, investment, connectivity and economic potential. What it needs is disciplined management. Success attracts both people who want to build and those who want to exploit or destroy; government must protect the city while supporting those contributing positively to it. So, to the current governor: Sir please, look around Lagos before you leave office. You have done things worth appreciating, but the environmental and maintenance decline needs urgent attention. Leave the next administration a city that is properly maintained, not one where infrastructure built by previous governments is allowed to deteriorate. And to whoever becomes governor in 2027: please sir make maintenance, roads, environmental aesthetics, law and order your priority before chasing more mega projects. Give Lagos a clean, beautiful and functional environment, and you will have a legacy people can actually see and feel. Lagos has not reached its prime. We can build on what we already have and make it even better than the Lagos of Fashola and Ambode.
