@DepswaAsclepius This is when smartphones started to actually become mainstream, not purely luxury products, and social media was really starting to catch fire. It’s a match made in Hell for attention spans, self esteem, and following the herd to avoid being a social outcast.

I have studied learning my entire adult life and taught for thousands of hours. The problem is your brain logs information entirely differently when you use a screen to read opposed to pen and paper. Additionally, the teachers don’t even emphasize to importance of using scratch paper for math problems or notebooks for writing down notes. It’s all digital and among digital products students have smallest cheapest laptops humanly possible. I have helped my three sons for nearly 12 years in school and I can’t express how bad it actually is.

If the world ever hits a serious reset there’s going to be a lot of people who will not be able to survive. No basic skills no common sense no real life experience.

Digital technology is left-brain created. It has harmful effects. Period.

I grew up in the 70s. This man is speaking the truth. I blame social media. I blame the Internet and I blame everything going digital I do and it’s true. Just listen to this man. They took away basic human skills.

School isn’t longer than gen X. That’s bullshit. It’s soft parenting and weakened laws. Yes they are stupid, but raised that way.

How about putting phonics back in school for kids learn how to read instead of learning by looking at pictures that doesn’t work they changed it. They don’t do math. They teach about sex and genders now.

Then these same Gen Z go to college to become K-12 teachers which perpetuates the lack of intelligence.

You know they did this on purpose trying to destroy America make our children stupider. They don’t teach cursive writing so how are they expect to follow the laws the constitution says they can’t even read the Declaration of Independence. This is a major problem.

I’m generation X and everything this man said is right on the money I grew up using critical thinking skills to keep my ass safe. There was a real consequences in the world, and we learned how to navigate them by using our fucking brain which people don’t know how to use

Classes taught from PowerPoint presentations. Lazy teachers use the previous teacher’s canned PowerPoint bullet point prepared presentation that is boring and in outline format without an underlying narrative to tie together the thoughts.
