Personally, I am currently convinced that God gave us more creational power than this: a fetal body and spirit (breath) are created together at conception, both new creations, joined together irrevocably. When the body inevitably fails, the spirit cannot function without it, so it is transported directly, or nearly so, to the moment of the body's resurrection via God's throne room which exists outside our time and space.

We will be reborn in a new body.
