exactly why banning the shift was chicken shit. Force players to actually learn how to do this stuff.. or actually hit to the opposite field. Instead.. Manfred bailed them out.

Carlos Delgado did it opening day 2007 - he jogged to first, pure comedy

What happened? The defense not being there which guaranteed a hit so the hitter took advantage instead of relying on luck and hard hit balls only to get frustrated? If a coach told his team to only hit the ball where the defense isn’t they would be the highest scoring team

This is how you beat the shift and put balance back into the game.

"The Democratic Party's actions had left many U.S. citizens feeling humiliated. Signs of a Trump victory were proclaimed well before Biden withdrew from the race. The voters had had enough." 📝 @KarinaLMariani

Still blows my mind why it was banned.

They banned the shift because it worked. It worked because bunting is hard.

His foot was on home plate when he made contact with the ball. He should have been called out for being out of the box.

I screamed at the TV for six years, begging Ryan Howard to do a drag bunt just once a week His average would have been 30 points higher.
