Ejaculation occurs in two phases: 1. Emission phase: Sympathetic nerves (T11–L2) cause sperm to move from the epididymis through the vas deferens. Secretions from the seminal vesicles and prostate mix with sperm to form semen. 2. Expulsion phase: Rhythmic contractions of the bulbospongiosus and other pelvic-floor muscles propel semen through the urethra and out of the penis. This phase involves somatic control via the pudendal nerve (S2–S4).

Biology is wild😊who knew a two-step process required everything from T11 down to S4? This is great anatomical breakdown, thanks for sharing

Muscle contractions do most of the work, not just one simple release
