Yes. On my last MRI there were microinfarctions in the white matter and I'm certain it's from "mild" concussions I've taken over the years playing soccer. Happily they have made me smarter and more healthy, so... hey ho!

Why don’t woodpeckers get concussions when knocking on trees? A situation where a small brain pays off. Less mass, less force on deceleration, can safely survive all that knocking!
