Reportedly, after sending the tigress's photographs to the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) for verification, it was found that there was no record of her before, meaning this tigress is being included as a new tiger in the country's tiger census. With a total area of 688.59 sq. km and forming part of the Nilgiris Biosphere Reserve, it now supports an estimated 165 tigers (2024-25), up from 129 in 2023-24. It is also home to 131 leopards, 534 elephants, and 19 striped hyenas, making it a biodiversity hotspot. New video shows a man approaching a pack of wolves in Yellowstone National Park. Keith Allen Kerbs recorded the footage on October 6, saying he was photographing the five black wolves when the man approached them. The video shows the man spraying what he describes as bear spray at the wolves as he enters a ravine. The wolves eventually backed off, and the man walked away. The National Park Service says there have been no reports of wolves attacking humans in Yellowstone and recommends visitors stay at least 100 yards away from wolves.
