Suozzi: When something crazy is being proposed—something outlandish—we need to fight and resist. But when something addresses the concerns of the American people, we need to find common ground and get things done. This isn’t just about the election in 2026 or the election in 2028. It’s about right now. It’s about making people’s lives better now. A lot of people will say, “Well, the Republicans didn’t do that. They didn’t help Biden get things done. They didn’t work across party lines when they controlled the House.” And that’s true. It was the least productive Congress in modern history… But just because that’s what they did doesn’t mean that’s what we should do. It’s not just about winning. It’s about trying to move the country forward, solve problems, and make people’s lives better. This business isn’t worth it for the ego or just for the competition—“I’m right, you’re wrong; I win, you lose.” It’s only worth it if we’re actually making the world a better place to live in. We need to call out the Republicans when they do crazy stuff, when they’re extreme. But we also need to work with them when we can find ways forward to make our country a better place to live in.

People don’t want to talk about the real history of America and how most of America’s policies have been about keeping Black people oppressed and under control because they know who Black people are and what we are capable of when unified.Instead, people get mad at people who present these facts and say that they are the troublemakers instead of the evil entities who actually benefit from the bs. Don’t stop speaking the truth! You don’t need the approval or acceptance of those who choose to remain being the sheep. #BlackHistoryMonth

The third most popular argument that trans activists use is “What about intersex people?” What about them? That has nothing to do with what I’m talking about, and the term itself is false. Nobody is between sexes. Intersex is an umbrella term for a variety of disorders of sexual development (DSD), and they are all male or female. It’s also irrelevant to the conversation. We are not discussing the treatment of people with DSDs. Perfectly healthy children are being harmed for life, with absolutely no evidence base to support giving them puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgeries. There is no such thing as a transgender child!

They know what to be concerned about because they know they can’t afford their groceries, can’t pay their rent, farms are going under, and they’re canceling their summer vacations. We talk about data and metrics and people put out reports, and they’re like, “What does this mean?” The American people know what it means. They live this. This is their daily lives. They’re suffering. It’s getting worse. This administration is spending money hand over fist for UFC fights, golden ballrooms, and algae-infested reflecting pools. They are so out of touch, it’s unbelievable.

This is my first long conversation in a very, very long time. The idea was to talk about all the things that make Zerodha what it is today, because a lot of people don’t really know how differently Zerodha has been built compared to most other companies. We’ve never raised external capital. We don’t advertise. We don’t have a sales team with sales targets. We don’t do much marketing. We don’t push people to trade or invest. And we have a relatively small team that has remained at roughly 1,000 people since around 2018–19, even though the business has grown five or six times since then. In this conversation, I spoke about all these things and more: how we think about growth, risk, competition, and the future of Zerodha. This is also the beginning of a new series where we want to shine a spotlight on the people who have made Zerodha what it is today.
