But don’t worry, YRP charged him with 16 counts of Dangerous Operation, 14 counts of Stunt Driving and two counts of Flight from Police. We also seized his motorcycle. He was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant. He participated in an armed home invasion in Vaughan. Now he's in custody. Charges have been laid against Trestin Cassanova-Alman, 24, of no fixed address. An occupant of the home accessed a legally owned, properly stored firearm, and discharged it toward the suspects, causing them to flee. The occupant was not charged for discharging the firearm. We're thankful that the occupants of the home were not physically injured. A few hours later, YRP was notified about a male being dropped off at a Toronto-area hospital with a gunshot wound. Investigators determined he had been shot during the home invasion. Police are also seeking two more suspects in this investigation. On November 23, 2024 at approximately 3:20 a.m., a spa in the area of Dufferin Street and Wilson Avenue in Toronto was robbed at gunpoint by three suspects. An hour later, at approximately 4:20 a.m., a second robbery occurred at a spa in the area of Birchmount Road and 14th Avenue in Markham. Three suspects forced their way into the business while armed with a firearm. They stole one of the victim’s vehicles and fled with a quantity of cash. In both incidents the suspects arrived in a stolen white Acura. On November 28, 2024, investigators located the stolen Acura and three suspects were taken into custody for possession of the stolen vehicle. On December 6, 2024, at approximately 1 a.m., a third armed robbery of a spa occurred in the area of Victoria Park Avenue and Steeles Avenue in Toronto. On December 8, 2024, two additional robberies were reported, one at approximately 3:20 a.m., in the area of Carlingview Drive and Renforth Drive, and the other at 3:45 a.m., in the area of Finch Avenue and Keele Street. In both incidents the suspects arrived at the scene in a stolen Toyota Highlander. On December 10, 2024, two search warrants were executed at residences in the City of Toronto with the assistance of the York Regional Police Emergency Response Unit. The murders are believed to have taken place between November 2023 and August 2024 in which two taxi owners, a taxi driver and a member of a taxi association were gunned down. Two of the suspects were arrested at Mall of Africa in Midrand, Johannesburg on Friday, 08 November 2024, while another one was arrested in East London on Saturday, 09 November 2024. Four other suspects that are also seen in this video have been taken in for questioning by SAPS. Police have seized four pistols and an AK47 from the suspects. These firearms and rifle have been taken in for ballistics testing to determine their linkage to the murders and any other serious and violent crime. This matter is still under investigation and police will not comment further.

Under Justin Trudeau’s incompetence, Canada has become a country that antisemitic mobs have immunity from the law. Clearly police do not implement existing laws against the jihadists. Politicians just deliver lip service and never ask the police to do their job. People should stand up and show courage. When jihadists target a synagouge, it is necessary to remind the York Regional Police & Toronto Police: - Blocking streets while you are covering your face is illegal. - Hamas is a terrorist organization under the criminal code of Canada. 🚔📹 Today, I was proud to announce that the City of Brampton has completed the installation of 360-degree camera technology at 50 intersections across our city — making Brampton the first municipality in Canada to deploy this technology at traffic intersections on this scale. 🇨🇦 🤝 Working in partnership with Peel Regional Police, this innovative technology is helping investigators solve crimes, support victims, and strengthen community safety. While most protests are peaceful, a few isolated cases of looting have been reported in Mpumalanga and KZN over the past 24 hours. •Ministry of Police Confirms Arrests for Looting and Attempted Looting, Urges Peaceful Demonstrations: SA Police Service 🇿🇦 Whilst policing operations have been effective thus far, with demonstrations remaining largely peaceful across the country, police have responded to isolated incidents of looting and attempted looting. The Ministry of Police confirms that the South African Police Service (SAPS) has, since the early hours of this morning, arrested several individuals in connection with incidents of looting and attempted looting reported in parts of the country as law enforcement continues to monitor the planned marches taking place nationwide today, 30 June. Police remain on high alert, with heightened deployments in place to ensure public safety, protect businesses and critical infrastructure, and maintain law and order. Members deployed across the country have been instructed to act swiftly and decisively against anyone who engages in criminal activities, including looting, attempted looting, public violence, malicious damage to property, intimidation, or any other unlawful conduct. In responding to these arrests, the Acting Minister of Police, Mr Firoz Cachalia, expressed the following: “We urge citizens to exercise their constitutional rights responsibly and to ensure that demonstrations remain peaceful and lawful. Those who choose to exploit the marches to commit criminal acts will face the full might of the law. Police will continue to identify, arrest, and prosecute all those responsible for criminal conduct.”

The British Retail Consortium recorded over 20 million customer theft incidents in the year to August 2024, with retailers reporting that less than 30% of shoplifting incidents now receive a police response. In response, the Crime and Policing Act 2025 introduced a new criminal offence of assaulting a retail worker, carrying a maximum sentence of 12 months in prison. The Act also removed the £200 threshold below which shop theft was previously considered a summary-only offence, allowing more serious cases to be tried in Crown Court.
