36 hours in. Still not over. Two of the seven Nihang Sikhs who occupied Gurudwara Langar Damdama Saheb in Nagrasu, Rudraprayag on Saturday evening have come down from the roof. Two others have already left after apologising to the Rudraprayag administration. But five remain on the upper floor. They are not coming down. When one Nihang came down to collect food this morning, those still on the upper floor threw stones to cover him. ITBP has now been deployed outside the Gurudwara. Internet has been restored in the area.

Every time I visit Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, it gives me a pleasant surprise. The grandeur is increasing day by day and I was happy to see people (non-Sikhs) narrating the history behind the Gurudwara Sahib to their family and kids. One mother sat on stairs and explained to her child what Sikhism is and what the contribution of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji is. It made me smile.
