What has the #ECHR ever done for us anyway?

Nonsense. British law always enshrined the right to a fair trial.

Didn't mean you'd always get one though, did it?

Eh? Do people genuinely think these were not enshrined in UK law before the ECHR?

This is such patronising drivel, the right to a fair trial was guaranteed by the Magna Carta. The Magna Carta is the bedrock of British law and it, rather than the ECHR, ensures our freedoms.

All of these rights precede the ECHR. Apart from that, it's great! No really. Excellent ... comedy?

Yeah because it was utter tyranny and no rights in the UK before that…

Every morning I go to the stables to tend and ride my horse. I’m no stranger to horse shit and that is exactly what this is. Most of these protections existed before 1997. Probably all of them. They’ll exist post a withdrawal. The Romans gave us roads. We still have roads.

@SuellaBraverman @RishiSunak @CommonsSpeaker Please take note, THIS is what we the British people want to remain with.

cant believe I'm watching Life of Brian in reality
