What Hyderabad did with its Outer Ring Road is exactly what Chennai should have done. The sheer wasted potential along Chennai’s Outer Ring Road (ORR) is heartbreaking. We have a massive 6-lane bypass ,it was our golden opportunity to anchor planned, high-density satellite nodes with world-class civic infrastructure. Instead, vast...

Chennai itself is a lost opportunity, it had everything to become the best city in the country. Even the basic infra was built during British era, howevr consevutive govts destroyed the vibe & growth of the city. 2day it is just 1 more so called city &not a gateway to south india

Please don't compare their ORR with ours. It's is on elite level ( it's access controlled and many locations have 10+ lanes too). Our Outer ring road was built for connecting ports and other NHs whereas TN government never planned to develop anything like how HYD achieved.

Land fragmentation is a big reason why we struggle with land acquisition for expressway/highway, railway projects or airports, data centers.

Still even the Radial Road corridor lacks basic infrastructure and amenities. At this pace ORR may take decades to reach Hyderabad’s level. We don’t have a true plug-and-play model build the infrastructure first, then develop. No pre-planning, only catch-up.

Peripheral ring road development is considered poor planning. The ring roads are not meant for local traffic. If Vehicles keep merging or intersecting the road, it will slow down traffic like a city road.

To My Fellow Kenyans, Greetings, patriots and warriors of justice! We stand at a critical moment in our nation’s history, a time when our resolve is tested, and our voices must roar louder than ever. The Dutch royals, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima, are set to arrive in our land from Tuesday, March 18, to Thursday, March 20, 2025. They come invited by President William Ruto, a man whose hands are stained with the blood of our brothers and sisters - murderers who have dined on our suffering while pretending to lead us. These royals have chosen to break bread with oppressors, and we cannot let this insult pass in silence. We must give them the reception they deserve - not one of pomp and ceremony, but one of resistance and defiance. They will travel from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) to State House, and we have the power to disrupt their journey. Let us block and choke the roads they will use: the Nairobi Expressway, Mombasa Road (A109), and the Outer Ring Road to Ngong Road route. These are the paths they are likely to take, and we will turn them into walls of protest. Barricade the Expressway’s toll gates, halt traffic on Mombasa Road from Nyayo Stadium to the CBD, and clog Ngong Road from Donholm to Dennis Pritt. Let their motorcade sit in the chaos of our anger! Do not fear the police. We have stormed parliament before - breaking through their lines, occupying the heart of their power. This is a small task compared to that victory. Their batons and tear gas are no match for our unity and courage. We’ve shown them what we’re capable of, and they know it. Stand tall, Kenyans - our strength lies in our numbers. For this to succeed, we need maximum cooperation. Every one of you must play your part. Spread this message far and wide - flood TikTok with calls to action, light up Facebook with our plans, and whisper it on the ground in every market, matatu, and village. Tell your neighbors, your friends, your family: this is our fight. We cannot afford to falter. If we cannot rise for this small action, how will we ever stand for a revolution? If we let this moment slip, we will remain slaves in our own country, bowing to foreigners and their local puppets. The date is set: March 18, 2025, when they land at JKIA. Be ready. Organize. Mobilize. This is not just about the Dutch royals—it’s about showing Ruto and his allies that we will not be silenced. Our future depends on it. Rise, Kenya! Block the roads! Let them hear us! With unwavering resolve, A Voice for the Voiceless #OccupyJKIA #RutoMustGo

Every builder's first duty is philosophical: to decide what they should build for. AI is beginning to decide what ideas reach your mind—your next action, your next job, your next relationship. It will tempt you to outsource your thinking in ways you’ve never been tempted before. Left unchecked, this becomes autocomplete for life. 200 years ago, when mechanization was starting to transform the world, the German philosopher Wilhelm von Humboldt warned of this very dynamic: To flourish as humans, we have to be self-directed. We are the architects of our own becoming. But if we offload our thinking—if we let AI automate what we once pursued with intention—is it still our life to live? To build AI that advances human flourishing, we need technologists who combine technical ability with moral vision. Silicon Valley once embodied this: Jobs and Wozniak asked what kind of creative life personal computers should enable; ARPANET's pioneers envisioned what kind of connected society networks should foster. But today, we now see three dominant archetypes: 1. The puzzle-absorbed: Solving technical challenges without reflecting on broader ends 2. The reductionists: Collapsing morality into math 3. The dismissers: Waving off philosophy as irrelevant to progress All three abdicate the fundamental question: What should we build for? This is where philosophy is essential. Because the job of a builder isn’t just to ship. It’s to shape a shared world. We need a new kind of technologist—one who builds with human flourishing in mind. Who resists centralized control. Who strengthens autonomy instead of mining attention. We call them Philosopher-Builders. Cosmos Institute exists to train and support them—people who translate deep thinking into systems, institutions, and infrastructure that serve human ends. If you believe the future of AI should expand human freedom and lift human potential, read the full essay.

This is Waterfalls, a medium-density suburb in Harare, with big houses on large stands. In colonial times, it was mainly a white suburb. In London terms, you could compare it to somewhere like Croydon, and in Johannesburg to a place like Norwood. Now look at the road in this video. Here is the joke. The Minister of Transport, the man responsible for this disaster, was recently declared Minister of the Year in Zimbabwe. In other words, he was judged the best minister in the entire cabinet under Emmerson Mnangagwa. Just imagine how catastrophically useless the rest of them must be to be beaten by someone presiding over this level of decay. When we talk about incompetence, corruption, and the looting of public funds, some people think we are just politicking. This is what we are talking about. This is supposed to be a relatively affluent suburb. Yet motorists are forced to abandon what is meant to be the road just to get where they are going. Sometimes they have to drive on the wrong side because it is slightly less destroyed, and then they get fined for it. This is not an accident. This is what happens when a country is run by an incompetent, corrupt, and ruthless mafia. This is today’s Zimbabwe. Perhaps it is important for me to share a bit of history. When Zimbabwe became independent in 1980, roads were controlled, repaired, and maintained by local authorities, the city councils. When the ZANUPF government realised how much money was coming from motorists, they took over control of the roads and of the taxes that are supposed to ensure that roads are properly maintained. These include vehicle licence fees, tollgate fees on highways, carbon tax, and taxes from fuel. Every dollar spent at the fuel pump includes a portion that is supposed to go to road maintenance. This is a revenue stream close to a billion dollars every year. There is no shortage of money. Zimbabweans pay four different taxes just to own and use a car. The problem is that this money is looted. This is the money that should be fixing these roads. Instead, it is being stolen. They do not just steal the road tax money. They also steal from motorists again when people are forced to repair damage caused by this dilapidated road infrastructure, and then they congratulate the minister responsible with an award for it.

President of Ukraine: We will work calmly with the US and all our partners. There will be a constructive search for solutions with our main partner. We will definitely not give the enemy any reason to say that Ukraine does not want peace, that it is disrupting the process, and that Ukraine is not ready for diplomacy. This is the dignity and freedom of Ukrainians, because everything else is based on this: our sovereignty, our independence, our land, our people, and Ukraine's future. We will and must do everything we can to ensure that in the end, there is an end to the war and not an end to Ukraine, Europe, and global peace. I have just spoken with Europeans, and we are counting on our European friends, who understand that Russia is not far away, that it is close to the EU's borders, and that Ukraine is now the only shield separating comfortable European life from Putin's plans. We remember that Europe was with us, and we believe that Europe will be with us. Ukraine should not experience déjà vu of February 24, when we felt that we were alone, when no one could stop Russia except our heroic people, who stood as a wall against Putin's army. And we were certainly very pleased when the world said, "Ukrainians are incredible. God, how Ukrainians fight, how Ukrainians struggle, what titans they are." And that is absolutely true. But Europe and the whole world must understand another truth - that Ukrainians are, first and foremost, people. And for almost four years of full-scale invasion, we have been holding back one of the largest armies in the world, and we are holding a front line of several thousand kilometers. And every night, our people endure shelling, missile attacks, ballistic missile and Shaded strikes. And every day, our people lose someone close to them. And our people really, really want this war to end. We are, of course, made of steel, but even the strongest metal can give way. Don't forget that. Stand with Ukraine, stand with our people. And therefore, stand with dignity and freedom.

To all of the people who are acting outraged over the playing of what they call the Black National Anthem at the Kansas City Chiefs game last night: The song isn't intended to divide anyone. It's not just a song for a certain group of people. It's called "Lift Every Voice and Sing," and it's a song of inspiration, hope and perseverance. Who cares if it's played before an NFL game? Does it hurt you in any way? Tell me which part of the song from the lyrics below is so offensive and divisive to you. Lift ev'ry voice and sing 'Til earth and heaven ring Ring with the harmonies of Liberty Let our rejoicing rise High as the list'ning skies Let it resound loud as the rolling sea Sing a song full of the faith that the dark past has taught us Sing a song full of the hope that the present has brought us Facing the rising sun of our new day begun Let us march on 'til victory is won Stony the road we trod Bitter the chastening rod Felt in the days when hope unborn had died Yet with a steady beat Have not our weary feet Come to the place for which our fathers sighed? We have come over a way that with tears has been watered We have come, treading our path through the blood of the slaughtered Out from the gloomy past 'Til now we stand at last Where the white gleam of our bright star is cast God of our weary years God of our silent tears Thou who has brought us thus far on the way Thou who has by Thy might Led us into the light Keep us forever in the path, we pray Lest our feet stray from the places, our God, where we met Thee Lest, our hearts drunk with the wine of the world, we forget Thee Shadowed beneath Thy hand May we forever stand True to our God True to our native land

✨Gal Gadot is such an inspiration✨ Here's her speech from the ADL conference this week. “My name is Gal and I'm Jewish and we have had enough of Jew-hatred. Never did I imagine that we would witness such a day of such death and destruction of Jews in our lifetime. And never did I imagine that on the streets of the United States and different cities around the world, we would see people not condemning Hamas, but celebrating, justifying, and cheering on a massacre of Jews. I know I'm not the only one in this room when I say that this was a wake-up call. Here's the thing. However much you try to avoid it before, even if speaking up wasn't really your thing, none of us can ignore the explosion of Jew-hatred around the world anymore. We will confront antisemitism, we will call it out but we will never let it not only defeat us, but define us, because our love is stronger than their hate. October 7th showed us that what happens to Jews anywhere affects Jews everywhere. And this goes both ways. Not only what happens there affects us here, but what happens here affects them there. So here we are in this room together calling for the release of every single one of our hostages. We have to bring them home. With every hostage release we hear new testimonies of the horrors they've been through. Every minute for them is hell. Their lives are in danger and we need them home. We want the hostages and their families to know that we have your back, that we are here for you. And we need them to know that wherever they go in the world where there's a Jewish community, they will always find people who campaigned for them, who love them and who will never let them walk alone. Because this is who we are and this is who we will always be, taking responsibility for each other. Along with my husband Jaron, we're bringing up four daughters to also be proud of who they are, to take responsibility, to love themselves. Rabbi Hillel famously said, אם אין אני לי מי לי If I'm not for myself, then who will be for me? And if I'm only for myself, then what am I? So even if we don't hear others speaking up for us, we have to keep speaking up for ourselves and reaching out our hands to everyone to join in. That is what I tell my daughters. First, learn to love yourselves, who you are and where you're from, and then the rest will follow. It's time to pass on to our children a love of who they are. So, who are we? We, the Jewish people, are an ancient people with an ancient story in an ancient homeland where our roots run deep and where we are an indigenous people. We work to see better and more peaceful future. We challenge hate when we face it, but we do it with love, while always striving to make the world a better place. And who am I? My name is Gal and I'm Jewish. Am Yisrael Chai. Thank you.”

The sad thing about the fanatics is that they do not realise how the world laughs at us when they hear our leaders say these things. It costs US$160 million per kilometre to build a bullet train network. That is why Stephen Sucker called it an Alice in Wonderland “wet” dream. Even South Africa does not have a bullet train, yet it is three times larger than Zimbabwe in terms of land size. To build a bullet train rail from Bulawayo to Harare costs US$74 billion, just to connect Harare and Bulawayo alone. Is that the immediate need for Zimbabwe? Can Zimbabwe afford that now when, out of the total road network of 97,267 kilometres, only 18,000 kilometres are tarred? Hospitals have collapsed, schools have no books, and more. Surely, the fanatics must realise how embarrassing it is for a leader to jump to something that the country cannot afford, even without corruption. It gives the impression of someone with presidential ambitions but without an understanding of the task ahead and what the country truly needs! When we critique, we are doing so to help him realise how misguided his ideas are in relation to the immediate necessities of our time. I say our time because nobody above thirty will see a bullet train in Zimbabwe, not because of the cost, but the hierarchy of needs. You first fix hospitals, schools, ordinary rail, roads, dams, and all the basic necessities of life. As of now, there are only 15 countries with operational bullet train or high-speed rail systems. Not even Britain has a bullet train, we can’t talk of bullet trains when our people are walking on sewage and have no clean drinking water. I understand why, psychologically, our people hold on to useless illusions and get angry when their favorite leaders are critiqued. It is because we grew up in a country with only one television station, where journalists lined up to bootlick politicians, even as they said useless things! So we are a society that doesn’t understand the essence of real journalism, we want our journalists to write for politicians instead of about politicians! It does not make much sense for Zimbabwe to prioritise a bullet train at this moment, given our current economic and infrastructure challenges. While a bullet train, or as it is conventionally known, a high-speed rail system, could be a long-term asset for modernising the country’s transport network, there are more immediate needs that should take precedence, such as fighting corruption and fixing our hospitals.

VIDEO | Kolkata: Bengal Minister Agnimitra Paul says, "We have taken 2-3 important decisions. In our Urban Development and Municipal Affairs departments, we have taken the principle decision that parking on both sides of the road, which has continued illegally for 15 years, will now be regulated. Parking will be allowed only on the designated side of the road, while parking on the other side will not be permitted. Secondly, parking fees are being collected illegally in parking lots, and taxes from these collections are not being paid to the government. These illegal collections must be stopped immediately so that the entire tax amount goes to the government. Also, the helpline number was not only a women’s helpline number; it was a child helpline number. The same number should now be integrated as a women’s helpline number as well. If anyone faces any problem, both the women’s helpline and child helpline numbers should remain active. In both the Women and Child department and the Urban Development and Municipal Affairs department, a call centre should be set up so that the public can call these two departments and share their issues and grievances. She adds, "Lastly, wherever there is pollution, we have seen over the last 15 years in Bengal, in Kolkata and Asansol, that garbage is lying everywhere and is not being cleaned. Now this responsibility is also being given to the public through geotagging. We have developed an app where people can send geotagged pictures, and within two hours the corporation or municipality will come and clean the area. But along with this, I also need the cooperation of the public. We should not throw garbage on the roads. Prevention is better than cure. Of course, cleaning is our responsibility, but we must also remain conscious about littering on roads..."

The government has sent Public Works to Ozumba Mbadiwe to patch the road instead of giving it to Julius Berger, Craneburg, Lubrik, or any other reputable contractor to fix it once and for all. With the billions we generate in IGR, we can comfortably construct or comprehensively rehabilitate one major state road every month. I didn't say every year,I said every month. In eight years, that would amount to hundreds of kms of major roads across the state, while the government could still build flyovers, bridges, and interchanges. That is why I keep saying we are being deliberately denied a good road network. This is not a federal problem; it is a Lagos State problem. Go and verify my statement. Even some of the poorest states in Nigeria, with IGRs of just ₦2–₦3 billion, are constructing quality roads. Some Lagosians are richer than some states, yet Lagos is the one without a proper road network. The painful part is that fixing roads is the most basic responsibility of any government. Even a decent guy with no connections, no big portfolio, no influence, and no experience attracting investments could still overhaul the road network of Lagos. He may not build rail lines, seaports, or free trade zones, but he can at least give residents good roads. Look at Lagos today. The skyscrapers, high-rise buildings, and beautiful developments are already there. What is missing is a road network that matches the city. Good roads would completely transform the appearance of Lagos and bring out its beauty. This is not a long-standing Lagos problem. It is a problem of this particular administration. For reasons I still cannot understand, they have deliberately allowed the roads to deteriorate. Instead of comprehensive reconstruction, all we see is patching. We can afford better. One major road every month is achievable with Lagos' revenue. So why are we still patching roads instead of rebuilding them properly? I genuinely hope the government explains why we are deliberately denied the quality road network this city deserves by now.🥺 Babajide Sanwo-Olu Obafemi Hamzat Damilola Sonayon James Seyi Tinubu ENIOLA BADMUS I am Dayo Amusa Lagos Min of the Environment and Water Resources The Lagos State Govt LASEPA Oluwaseun Osiyemi Tokunbo Wahab Lagos State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure Funke Akindele 📷: Patching of Ozumba Mbadiwe highway as opposed to total overhaul that is required to increase the beauty of the area. American Citizens Are Calling For Accountably Of Their Money Being Spent On Illegal Immigration Programs Illegal Immigrants Given Up To $9,000 Per Month For Housing Assistance 🚨 “Let's talk about the money that is being spent. I think that there needs to be a federal audit against the company that we have contracted out to take care of the migrants. We have nurses that are being paid $64,000 a month. We have security officers that are being paid as much as $24,000 a month. We have home health care workers that are being paid up to $17,000 a month. You don't think that Chicagoans could have benefited from that? We have citizens in this city that have been on the waiting list for affordable housing for years, and migrants have been bumped in front of them. We have people who have been given up to $9,000 a month for housing assistance. That amount of the city of Chicago. We are not am pro black. I am for my marginalized who have been expect us to give up our parks places in our community for others. We're not saying that there's not room here, but what we are saying is that we are not going to step aside for you to accommodate them when you have continued to leave us out of the equation. So I'm not just talking to Brandon Johnson right now. I'm talking to Governor Pritzker and I'm talking to President Biden and I want you to understand This upcoming political year where the Democratic Party is on the menu, hear me, people of Chicago, of Illinois and of the United States. It is time for us as black people to stop voting party. It is time for us to stop voting color. It is time for us to start voting our self-interest. And if the Democrats in the city of Chicago, the state of Illinois, and the country of USA refuses to listen to us, then it is time for us to start looking at other alternatives. We are looking at all the alternatives. We will not step aside and continue to be mistreated. We will not continue to be disrespected. I'm looking at people who are coming here from another country giving work visas, giving social security cards. Nobody is asking them what walk of life that they come from. You don't think that our brothers who have been in prison, out and who have changed their lives will benefit for the same opportunities that we're giving these migrants. And I'm not saying that they don't deserve those opportunities. But what I am saying is we deserve them first. What I am saying is you can't continue to put us on the back burner and think that we're going to continue to be okay with it. We've done that for long enough. And what we're saying here today is that is no longer acceptable to our governor that you're not going to continue to set money aside for people who don't live here and disrespect, mistreat and forget about us. You've forgotten about us. You have treated us as if we don't matter and we're saying to you you're not going to continue to do this. We're saying to you to see us. You're dumping people into our communities who are going to at some point move us out of the say to you, if you want to glimpse into what's going to happen, look at how people of color are being treated in Venezuela right now. We seem to forget that Venezuela was one of the first places that had African slaves that they were taken to. We're forgetting about that. And so we're forgetting that there are blacks in Venezuela who are being treated the same way we are. And so for us to expect that they're going to come here and be put into society and treat us differently is a pipe drain.”

I would like to wish all my compatriots a happy Independence Day, happy Independence Zimbabwe. The independence of our country, unlike many other African countries, came through blood that was shed. There are so many Zimbabweans who lie in unmarked graves from Tanzania to Zambia to Botswana to Mozambique, and they put their lives on the line so that you and I could have the independence that we did not have under colonial rule. There is a distinct difference between those who fought for the independence of our country and died, never seeing an independent Zimbabwe, and those who took over from colonial rule and then destroyed our country through incompetence, corruption, and many other afflictions that should never have been there. I am in no doubt at all that had our country not become independent, I and many Black citizens would probably not be where we are today, thanks to the early gains of independence. Sadly, I now find myself as a journalist and a Zimbabwean with NO freedom to speak, to write, and to exist as a full citizen in my country post independence after the derailment of the independence dream. Many of our people did not have the opportunities that I personally got, and many others got, to advance our lives. It is unfortunate that we find ourselves where we are today, not because independence is bad, but because we ended up with selfish, corrupt, and incompetent individuals who abandoned the principles and aspirations that inspired many Zimbabweans to go out there and fight so that their country could be free. So on this day, when we celebrate 46 years of independence, the same zeal and drive that defined those who died fighting for our country must be carried forward by those who are alive today, to make sure that the country is restored to where it is supposed to be. Zimbabwe is one of the richest countries under the sun. It has almost every mineral that you can think of, and it has some of the best soils in the world. There is no reason for any Zimbabwean to be unemployed, to fail to earn an income, or to go to bed on an empty stomach. There is absolutely no reason for any Zimbabwean to struggle if the country is led by people who know what they are doing and who put the country first, the national interest first, ahead of their own selfish needs. Whilst colonialism was a terrible stain on the history of our country, there are lessons that can be drawn from that period. Rhodesia was run like a business, not like a fiefdom. The fact that most of the central hospitals that exist today were built during the colonial period, with the exception of Chitungwiza, tells us that infrastructure was prioritised, even if it was designed to serve a minority. That reality does not excuse colonial injustice, but it exposes the scale of failure after independence. Forty-six years later, the government has built only one central hospital. Around 2,500 women die every year during childbirth due to a lack of adequate maternity facilities. The largest hospital in Zimbabwe still relies on a maternity theatre built in 1977, and even then only one of its two theatres is functional, with the working one having been refurbished by a South African bank. That is a damning indictment on the current leadership. The fact that millions of Zimbabweans have been forced to leave the country to take up menial jobs in South Africa, as waiters or farm workers, is an indictment on the current leadership. The fact that people like myself and many others have had to leave home out of fear for our lives is an indictment on the current leadership. Whilst the leadership has failed, we as citizens of Zimbabwe also carry a responsibility towards our country, in whatever space we occupy. We must stop following personalities and start following ideas, whether in the ruling party or in the opposition. Our country has been destroyed because we follow personalities, many of whom are vacuous and empty, and when they fail, they drag the nation down with them as our leaders have done. We must not wait for a Messiah to come and save us from the afflictions we face today. We have a responsibility to do what is right for our country. During the liberation struggle, leaders were changed at different points because the struggle was never about personalities, it was about an idea, an independent Zimbabwe where every Zimbabwean, black, white, green, or yellow, has the same rights and opportunities to pursue a better life. So as we celebrate, and we should celebrate, we must also reflect on our responsibilities going forward. We celebrate because independence itself was a noble idea and remains a noble idea. When things are bad, you do not burn down the house, you fix what is broken. We must honour and remember those who lost their lives so that people like myself could go to college, become journalists, and be recognised internationally, as many Zimbabwean professionals have been, some even advising presidents across the continent and beyond. Zimbabwe has some of the most accomplished people anywhere in the world, and it should not be where it is today. It is therefore up to us, as Zimbabweans, to make sure that we do what is right for our country. Once again, happy Independence to my compatriots, and thank you to all the stalwarts who laid down their lives for us to be independent and to the countries that supported our struggle. We could not have achieved independence in 1980 without Mozambique, Zambia, Tanzania, Botswana, and many others who stood with us. They did well for us and we thank them. It is those who destroyed the country who should hang their heads in shame today. My heart bleeds when I see so many young Zimbabweans with university degrees, yet ending up as victims of drug abuse because there is no work to go to. There are no opportunities available that are aligned with what they went to university to study. It is a tragic indictment of the situation we find ourselves in today. Today we have become a nation where boreholes are being drilled in the middle of cities because the rulers have failed to do something as basic as delivering water into people’s homes. Today we have become a nation where the rest of the region laughs at us because our roads are riddled with potholes, yet the leadership drives Ferraris on those same roads. Today we have become a nation where even our O-level pass rate has not gone beyond 34% because of the failure of leadership to do what needs to be done. Today we cannot even feed ourselves. We have to rely on food aid, and yet we were once colloquially referred to as the breadbasket of the region. These are some of the realities we should reflect on. I could go on and on, but at this point, it is not necessary. To our leaders, I say, how does it feel when you hear the very people you lead saying Ian Smith was better, when they say colonialism was better? How do you feel? Or do you even feel anything at all when those words are spoken? Of course, colonialism was brutal. Of course, Ian Smith was a racist leader who upheld a minority regime built on exclusion and oppression. But it is a damning indictment of your failed leadership that some of our own people now feel pushed to the point of romanticising that dark past. Independence was meant to usher in dignity, opportunity, and shared prosperity for every Zimbabwean, regardless of colour or creed. It was meant to restore ownership of our future to the people. Yet today, you cannot deny that a small, privileged few are the primary beneficiaries of that independence, while the overwhelming majority are trapped in poverty, penury, and relentless suffering. That is not what liberation was fought for. However, nothing can justify a failure to be grateful to those who fought and died for the independence of our country. They did their part. It is now up to us to do our part and ensure that our country becomes what it is meant to be. Happy Independence Zimbabwe.

Why Hyderabad Drowns After A 20min Rain? I may not have a simple answer to this complex question but was in Raidurgam area yesterday and this what I saw. This is right next to the Raidurgam metro. It is like the IT hub of Hyderabad and look at the state of things here. Roads are being dug to lay drainage pipes. Locals told me it has been close to a year since they started digging. The debris is just lying on the road, existing drainage seems to be damaged and all the sewer is flowing on to the main road. To make things worse, many are parking right on the road making the congested area much more difficult to commute. There is no parking space at Raidurgam Metro. If someone wants to take the metro, they have to arrive on a separate vehicle to reach. Plus there are a million autos lined up on the road. Traffic police who hide behind trees or corner you in some random street won’t regulate traffic on the main roads. They won’t show a solution to park vehicles but will collect challans. Why are you collecting challans without any space being earmarked for parking? Do you expect people to jump off a parachute and get into a metro? We look at China, Japan with their advanced technology of laying roads in a day and will be wowed. Here governments talk about AI city, Future City and such money minting projects for the government and still get wowed. Why isn’t AI or advanced technology being used to repair roads, drainages or maintain infrastructure in the existing city??? Why this craze to call the existing city a dump and then pumping huge public money into a nonexistent Future City? Why is governance driven by real estate ambitions of a few politicians?

What happens to a country when its leaders stop asking what kind of nation they want to preserve? Immigration is a subject where people can have completely different opinions, but there is a basic question that is difficult to avoid. How much immigration can a country absorb while still maintaining control over its borders, its institutions, its infrastructure, and its sense of national identity? The United States has always been a nation of immigrants, but that doesn't mean immigration policy has to be unlimited or that a country has no right to decide who enters and under what conditions. Congress has broad constitutional authority over immigration, including the power to establish rules governing admission and exclusion. There's also a difference between having compassion for individual people and claiming that a government should be able to enforce its own immigration laws. Those ideas don't have to contradict each other. If a nation can't control who enters its territory, enforce the laws it has on the books, or determine the scale and pace of immigration, then the question becomes much bigger than immigration itself. It becomes a question of sovereignty and whether citizens still have meaningful control over the direction of their own country. And that's where the conversation gets uncomfortable. We can debate how many immigrants should be admitted, what legal pathways should look like, and how enforcement should work. But pretending there are no consequences to immigration policy doesn't make those consequences disappear. A country has limited resources, limited infrastructure, and a population with its own history and institutions. Citizens have every right to ask what policies best serve the long term interests of the nation they inherited and hope to pass on to their children. The real question isn't whether America should have immigration. It is whether Americans are still willing to have an honest conversation about what level of immigration is sustainable and what kind of country they want to preserve. If we don't decide what we want our nation to remain, who will?
