Success risk for Bitcoin is usually political and energy-siting friction, not a software bug. When adoption scales, the debate shifts from whether it works to who hosts the load and under what rules. That is a permitting and narrative test layered on top of the monetary one.

What? Then more people get money that can't be diluted or frozen. "Too successful" for whom? For families stacking sats, success just means the denominator finally stops melting.

If #Bitcoin is getting too succesful, (Crypto) media and banks will change the #BTC = #MONEY narrative into BTC is an #ASSET narrative and start pushing for #stablecoins (#CBDC's) and disable updates for the Bitcoin #blockchain Oh wait, that already happened ..

That can’t happen, because there is no such thing as too successful when it’s about Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the standard.

Then it stops being a trade and starts being the money. That's the whole bet.

Success will not ban the coin first. It will make self-custody annoying enough that weak hands crawl back into custodians.
