"I want you to think of the world as a massive network of networks, a world of hyperconnectivity, a world of flows: flows of capital, commodities, energy, data, people, and ideas. Once you conceptualise the world in that way, you understand just how important choke points, hubs, and intermediaries are in this global system of flows. Two of the most important choke points in this world of flows are the Bab al-Mandab, between Yemen and the Horn of Africa, and the Strait of Hormuz, between Oman and Iran, both of which you have probably heard a great deal about on television over the past few weeks. So rather than looking at a system of states, we are really looking at a system of intermediaries, guardians, and gatekeepers. What we have seen is how a country like Iran can become a strategic gatekeeper to the flows that sustain not just the Gulf and the Middle East, but Europe as well. We are very much affected by this here in Europe. It is also a system in which size does not necessarily matter. It does not matter whether you are a great power or a superpower, or whether you have the largest military in the world, because we can see that the Americans are very much out of their depth. They are unable to provide the security that is needed. In fact, it is often small and middle powers that play an important outsourced role when they come together, build alliances, and create consensus, rather than relying on the kind of coercion and compulsion Donald Trump has been using. This is a man-made supply chain crisis. I would argue it is one of the worst supply chain crises in history. It was entirely avoidable. It is extremely difficult to manage, and we will probably have to live with it for some time. But it is also an opportunity for Europe. I think we will talk about this more this afternoon. As the Gulf begins to think about disentangling from America, Europe too is thinking about how it can disentangle from America. The movie is about man’s evolution. in the closing parts of the film we begin to move beyond the limits of current human capacities of understanding - hence its surreal nature. We are able to glimpse and conceive of this area of human advancement to some extent. For example in the same way we can technically glimpse what a 4th dimensional object is through 3rd dimensional representations. it is however not able to be rendered fully by our current minds. So the movie depicts this with a long psychedelic experience that seems to mean nothing and e everything at the same time. The next stage of humanity is embodied by an enormous fetus that is larger than humanity’s homeworld. This is to both show the transcending of earth and its limitations as well as to demonstrate that this next phase is merely another beginning and not the end There is literally nothing else left that can be shown in the story of the human race - as everything beyond this point is impossible to even fathom - and the movie ends. That is my high school level description of the ending for anyone still confused

The bodies of the angels are what we understand as the qualities of heaven. These qualities are also expressed through the planetary spheres, and their activity reveals to us the laws of heaven. Just as the natural world shows us that all life operates symbiotically, so too does spiritual life. We live symbiotically with the angels as a part of them. This spiritual reality was understood by our ancestors since the beginning of time. Today, however, humanity has turned its back on this truth. Why? So that man may become a god in his own mind, rather than humbling himself within the order of creation and living under God, of which he is naturally a part. Today, many claim that the cosmos is not a living being, but dead matter. Space is imagined as lifeless, filled with dead planets like Mars that humanity is destined to reshape and animate in its own image. We see fantastical cosmologies that place man at the center of creation, surrounded by bizarre classes of alien beings within a hologram of disembodied energy waves, supposedly controlled by the mind and intention alone. The height of modern ignorance is the claim that the cosmos is nothing more than a simulation and that, like a video game, man must learn to manipulate it with knowledge in order to escape it. None of this is real. It is the materialist delusion of our age. We have reduced the cosmos to a machine, an inhuman thing to be controlled. The spiritual hierarchies are lost in this miscalculation and are instead described as aliens, non-human intelligences, or other invented terms that contain no initiatory meaning. We stand at the height of hubris, making ourselves gods within a mechanical cosmos. To truly progress, we must return to meaningful definitions of God, angel, and man. The height of modern ignorance is the claim that the cosmos is nothing more than a simulation and that, like a video game, man must learn to manipulate it with knowledge in order to escape it. None of this is real. It is the materialist delusion of our age. We have reduced the cosmos to a machine, an inhuman thing to be controlled. The spiritual hierarchies are lost in this miscalculation and are instead described as aliens, non-human intelligences, or other invented terms that contain no initiatory meaning. We stand at the height of hubris, making ourselves gods within a mechanical cosmos. To truly progress, we must return to meaningful definitions of God, angel, and man. We can only advance when we are able to conceive of the cosmos as living and filled with living spiritual beings, just as we ourselves are. A cosmos of life. When we can do this, our true nature and purpose can be revealed, and we can take our rightful place as the tenth member of the hierarchy. How we define something declares its nature, and the nature of our world is not that of a machine.

In May I was invited to the Oxford Union to debate whether youth activism is "performative." But let’s be honest about what’s actually performative: sitting in wood-paneled rooms, debating , and sneering at a generation of young people who are trying to make change/ The reality? Gen Z isn’t driven to activism by TikTok or influencers. They are driven by the material reality of a capitalist system that has only ever offered them austerity, pandemics, climate chaos, and war. Revolutions don’t drop from the sky. They are the accumulation of a thousand different types of activism from climate strikes and BLM to the university encampments for Palestine. It is a molecular process. Young people are at the forefront because they have the most to lose, and they refuse to be burdened by the cynicism of the past. While the establishment sneers, a revolutionary wave is building. The question isn't whether youth activism is "performative" the question is how we organise that gut instinct to change the world into a real, material force that can actually overthrow the system at the root of the crisis. As Lenin once said: give us one generation of youth, and we will transform the world. We are not outnumbered. We are just out organised. Time to build.

Happy 4th of July? Millions of Americans think they’re celebrating 250 years of “freedom” today, but what they’re really celebrating is 250 years of corruption, endless war, and a capitalist system that exploits the many to enrich the few. The uncomfortable truth is none of us in the U.S. are free. We are owned by banks, exploited by billionaires, and controlled by two parties that sell us out at every turn. Freedom is just the illusion they sell to hide the cage and prevent people from ever questioning the dictatorship of capital that controls, exploits, and monetizes every aspect of our lives from birth to death. Where is the freedom when a handful of billionaires [and a trillionaire] hoard ungodly fortunes through the mass exploitation of our labor and the mass extraction of resources that belong to our communities? Where is the freedom when our tax dollars fund endless wars, genocide, and the mass murder of children abroad all to further enrich the billionaire class? Where is the freedom when 70% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck and struggle to afford basic needs like housing, healthcare, and groceries? Where is the freedom when 75% of Americans can’t afford a median-priced home, 100 million Americans live with medical debt, and 140 million Americans are poor or low-income? There is no freedom here. We are all prisoners of a decrepit capitalist system that keeps us trapped in the rat race by demonizing the one economic system, socialism, that would put the economy in the hands of the people. Imagine a world where workers own the means of production, resources are used for the benefit of all, and decisions are made to meet the basic needs of the people rather than the endless greed of billionaires. That is socialism, and there is nothing scary about it. What is scary is continuing to allow a handful of billionaires and two capitalist parties to control our entire economy and make life-or-death decisions for all of humanity. Now is not the time to celebrate a “freedom” that we never had. Now is the time to fight for our freedom from the dictatorship of capital.
