What if this is all part of the plan?

What a complete waste of talent on the team.

The new coaches that were brought in seem to be doing their jobs. It’s a shame they will prob be fired once new coach comes in with his own staff. New coach would be crazy to get rid of @kendalbriles

It’s absolutely a fundraising effort and it’s playing off egos too, at that. They want another big-time booster to step in and be the next Joe Rice in terms of the donations lost when he passed. It’s a “hidden” message. They didn’t give Beamer a statement of confidence, they said “yeah we agree but we need more $”.

@HJhughes79 Could see this happening but I think we are broke

It would take a special kind of stupid for any private entity to buy out a damn football coach for a multi-billion-dollar university. Let the school fail the football fans.

There is definitely a plan. Leaks, mockingbird media. AD is Buying time. As pain goes up, more options available. Shane won’t handle increasing national pressure well. Shane is also jeopardizing any good future job. Every day he stays on staff, his reputation is getting scorched! 🔥

Just…no. I want my time back.

They have money …. it’s just they don’t want to waste it on a buyout! BOT agreed to this mess BOT needs to fix it!

By Sc stating they don’t have the money, it puts the questions back on Beamer. And they know with his emotional personality, he won’t handle it well. He will negotiate a settlement.

Unless he somehow wins 80% of the remaining games, theres no way he stays for the next season.

Agree. There are many ways to get rid of a coach. Just have to get creative. The boos will only increase throughout the season, especially if fans feel like Beamer is holding the program hostage.

They have the $350+ million to renovate the stadium, but not pay his buyout? Anybody with a pulse can see that its all fake.

It’s both things. The university has made a lot of unwise decisions with athletics and is hoping big donors will bail them out. However, they are losing the hope of long time season ticket holders/fans. The backbone of the program. Pennywise, pound foolish. Not going to work.

Imagine looking at all the ways you could spend tens of millions to help people and deciding to use it to get a new coach to win more college football games. SMH

If Beamer is allegedly such a great guy like folks say, he would resign and refuse the buyout and arguably pay back a vast majority of the money he has been paid so far so we can afford to bring in a real winner like @BarstoolGruden

Copied my Instagram comment idea, huh? Hah

A group of big money A&M alum got together after Jimbo’s last game and put up $70m to get rid of him and look at what they got. Let Beamer finish the season save the money for new coach and NIL guys to turn this around in ‘27 this will all be over in 8 weeks.

I hope this is true

Ray Tanner should pay his part.

Agreed, I just think it’s too convenient how people all of a sudden know that SC “ doesn’t have the money “ who’d know that? The AD certainly would

Agree with this. No way he’s back.

I find it hard to believe they didn’t have this scenario on the radar for some time now and have a plan in place

This is really dumb

Only problem with the first part of that theory is that we have no big money donors. None who could come close to making a dent in that kind of buyout.

I’m hoping you’re right Brad. I’m ready for this clown to be gone

Is there a reason they can’t adjust the renovation project? Kick the can on about $75m of that project and you’re good to go.

The math is very skewed here… Any money, Beamer or his staff makes after they leave is subtracted from the buyout so it’s not nearly as high is being reported. In addition, it is not paid in a lump sum, but rather monthly.

That’s what happens when u give a coach a big raise, after 1 good year! Just like we did with Parris! He has one good year and the AD gives him a big raise!! Idiots!

Sounds plausible. Even if they got a large portion of the payout. We may need to look at a qualified HC that would take the full or 90% of the existing staff to remain with him. Just basically eating Shane’s buyout.

This is the Carolina fan in me but why am I hopeful.

So ,if not Shane Beamer then who?. Who is better out there, available and can come to South Carolina. The NIL budget is 8 th in the you’re not getting top dollar to work with. What’s JD’s selling point?
