it would only be good if they literally redid the entire games mechanics lol. the levelling and junction system would need entire reworks or removing completely

they would fuck it up so hard by putting wisps in it and Ultimecia would follow you around at the end of each part, and Rinoa would probably lead you to believe she was actually Ultimecia from the past but then at the end you realize she's just Rinoa.

this looks amazing but id only want to play it if they kept the story, music and dialogue the same. The fighting i don't care about so much, but don't change it so much it loses its charm. They would never do that though cos they gotta make it modern for new players.

No remakes, only remasters with just up to date graphics. Mechanics stays the same, story line stays the same, one cool addition could be, as optional content Triple Triad online gameplay. And for the love of what's good in the franchise, don't butcher this classic

I’d pay a lot of money for both FF8, 9 and 10 remakes. Considering the succes of 7 remake, one would think it’s a no brainer… just make it one game instead of a trilogy please

With how they've fucked with the FFVII story, I don't want them to ever fucking touch FFVIII. FFVIII is my favorite FF game & I don't want it ruined like FFVII has been.

Looks great but Squall's figure is off. Squall is tall and thin as he was originally designed with the male fashion "9 head tall" model rule and with thick sole shoes putting him close to 6 feet tall. Basically he should look a bit lanky.

You cannot create a remake that perfectly captures the memories of older players and remains true to the source material. Those things are very different. Let alone creating something appealing to new audiences.

I love FF8 as one of my top 3 games of all time forever. That being said, I don't want to see modern square touch it with a mile long stick.

Sadly a remake might not be able to stop one of the best examples of a story going... i mean.. falling off the rails.

Thankfully they have said they don't want to remake VIII.

That is what everyone said about FF7, then we got a game that can't make up its mind on if it wants to follow the old story or make a new story split into 3 parts. I'd hate to see what they would do to FF8 given this knowledge cause they certainly couldn't just keep it the same.
