What in the hell is Adames doing!

Actually this is a mistake made by Susac - he should have thrown to first for the guaranteed out - and then hoped for a ground out or popup - I think Adames was shocked that Susac was even looking at him to make a play at second - I call error on Susac - not to mention the horrendous relief pitching.

I am completely with you, but I still don’t understand why he would leave the base. There was nowhere else for him to go.

Simple. Players have checked out. He assumed the throw would go to 1B. There’s no one on this team in charge of holding lazy players accountable. I can’t remember seeing so many brain dead little league mishaps in one single season.
