He’s and idiot because technically if you do it that way it is 18 but in math you’re supposed to multiply first which would be 12, so the equation he’s asking is the wrong way to ask it
To their defense is 18 the way he says it. That's different to when you write it down, then it's 12. When you say it like he does you do all the calculators from the beginning to the end independent on the operators. But this video is made to redicule people.

Yes, it's 12. However, Old scientific calculators would give 18 unless you place the brackets in, to which it would then give 12. 3+3x3 vs 3+(3x3)
