I can answer this. A CBDC is for revoking that pesky "freedom" we all enjoy and handing over economical power to the state. Once fully implemented with no alternative, if they don't want you to go somewhere or pay for something, then they will prevent you from doing it. If you speak ill about anyone in power they will just stop you from transacting economically at all. It's the solution to the problem that we don't think is a problem but they do.
