What is an effective altruist?

one slight nit (with my own presentation):

this. ea started with *good* intentions. maybe a subset went a little sideways or away from the core focus of doing good for the future. that doesn’t mean the entire group or everything they do is *bad*. i don’t trust anyone who refuses to acknowledge there could be risks with ai. one can still be very optimistic about ai and the future and care about safety at the same time.
