the part that gets me the most is they actually got the call right on the field then go to a mysterious 15 minute review

Should federal district court judges be able to block the executive branch from changing tariff rates?

Just give up and not even try scoring apparently.

Contact aside, how is there no obstruction?

I guess a catcher without a ball can just stand over the plate, take a nap, give no running lane!

Should’ve been obstruction by the catcher because he didn’t have the ball…run scores & the runner at second should’ve moved to third. Not to mention how long the refs took to make this call killed any momentum. Then to top it all off that poor kid misses the next game also.

Idk but can we also point out that the catcher dropped and closed his legs as he was trying to slide

Even as a husky fan that is a horrendous call. The catcher was blocking the path and home plate what was the runner supposed to do!? He even tried to slow down

Maybe I need to learn the rules of the game better. It looked like obstruction and no malicious intent and the umpire ruled the opposite of both .

rule states you have to have possession of the ball to make a play on a runner. He intentionally blocked the plate with no ball. runner started to slide then realized he was blocking the plate. easy calls, missed both.
