I will always love this training sequence between Luke and Grogu. It’s honestly one of my favorite moments in all of Star Wars. The way it mirrors Luke’s own training with Yoda is just so cool, and I love seeing him in the role of teacher. I also really love the music in this scene. Madonna explains why she got mad & cried because of Al Pacino's method acting in "Dick Tracy" (1990): "Interviewer: Describe the relationship between the two characters, Breathless and Big Boy. Madonna: I had nothing but contempt for Big Boy. And he would treat me like a bad little girl. He was always slapping me and spanking me. And in terms of being on the set, whenever Al Pacino put his prosthetics on, his suit, he was a gross pig. And he’s not that way in real life—he’s very gracious, and well-mannered, and gentlemanly, and sweet... . 🐿️: Of course I saw Seonghwa (on the Songzio runway)! He was so cool, ofc. I mean, he doesn’t approach modelling just like a K-pop idol doing it on the side. He doesn’t treat it like, just a modelling thing, he really immerses himself in it. He tries to understand the attitude and presence of actual models and I think that kind of mindset is seriously so cool. Of course, it might still feel a little unfamiliar. I mean, we’re all more used to seeing Seonghwa on stage. Me, the members, the people around us and ATINYs too, but still… For people who don’t know him, to see the clothes and really feel the concept through him as a model? It was just when he was thinking about writing the book, I heard the title "Abraham Lincoln vampire Hunter". It just all of a sudden took me [my mind] back to kind of the era of films that I grew up in; like the 60s & early 70s where it was like a weird mashup of movie. I remember things like "Dr. Jekyll and Sister Hyde" (1971) and you know you get these weird kind of mixups of horror films and it just sounded to me like the kind of a movie that I wanted to see. It just reminded me of movie of that era and it had that kind of crazy energy to it and weird juxtapositions of things. So I knew even before reading he book that it was a great idea. It basically takes the the story of Lincoln which Seth really kind of went through the history of the life of Lincoln and linked it up to sort of vampire mythology. The idea that his mother was ki!!ed by a vampire and how that shaped the rest of his life. And again the interesting thing about it is that it's not as farfetched as it sounds. I mean the events and the idea of him becoming a vampire hunter and like all the deaths that he had in his family and people close to him, it makes a lot of sense and it's actually more believable than the premise makes it. So that's what was interesting because we never wanted to make fun of anything. We wanted to treat it seriously like a human story and a real story. We talked about the idea and the fact is that it very much sort of Mirrors the kind of the classic comic book superhero mythology. POV: You’re on the highest Caribbean mountaintop and the drums just hit different. This is the first drop of Neon Pony LIVE in St. Maarten! I don’t just show up with a USB. It’s full send it mode with Live drums, percussion. and vocals. There is no safety net. If something breaks or I’m late on a cue, you see it. I give all of me on the dance floor, then break it all down and load it out. In this case, that meant strapping the whole rig to a ski lift and riding it up & down the mountain. It’s hard. It’s raw.
