What is "Hysteria" even about, lol.

It's supposed to be a educational sketch comedy show; like an animated SNL but with Animaniacs styled humor/animation and focuses on history

Pretty much a PG rated version History of the World Part 1 and 2. It's funny and educational.

anytime the show had to address death it seemed to do so with extreme hesitation. Largely due to the network censors, and the general animaniacs style tone of the show.

Horrible Histories before Horrible Histories was a thing.

Meanwhile, I have "Detention" in my brain, lol! :P

I remember they got away with saying "damn" in an episode.

It was meant to be 'Edutainment' believe it or not.

Oh you know, an attempt at a comedic take on history and the historical figures would be portrayed via celebrity impersonation. I wouldn't recommend it as a study guide. I think some facts need to be double checked.

Basically historical lessons with an Animaniacs touch. Also they found every excuse they could to quote naughty words spoken by historical figures.
