What is necessary to be saved?

Dude got educated. Well done!

So what if he wasn’t asked what they needed to do to be saved? He explicitly tied the forgiveness of sins and reception of the spirit to repentance and baptism.

I think Ryan conflates the single moment when God declares a person righteous into the entire lifelong journey of salvation. There is much Christ teaches about eternal life beyond faith and justification that he seems to dismiss or ignores or treat a nice extras.

“Faith alone” ultimately leads to an absurdity that man may die unrepentant, hating God, and still enter heaven. But heaven is perfect union with God. One cannot die rejecting God and enter into eternal communion with Him.

Oh I can’t wait to watch the whole thing!!

It was a great conversation! I’m praying God saves Alex:

Thank you for sharing!!

“Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved” simply means that when one believes in the Lord Jesus, he will receive the gift of salvation. That he receives it in baptism, as Scripture clearly teaches in multiple places, isn’t denied here (you are the one asserting the denial yourself into the verse based on your personal theology). It is in fact supported by the fact that they were immediately baptized after they believed. If St. Paul truly was denying the necessity of baptism, why then did he teach the people he met in Acts 19, *who already had believed*, that they are still required to be baptized in the name of Jesus in order to receive the Holy Spirit? Exact same thing St. Peter taught in Acts 2:38: “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” And the question formulation in Acts 2 isn’t what’s important there. lol. The important thing is Peter’s clear response which is about receiving God’s promise of forgiveness of sins and the Holy Spirit (aka salvation) by being baptized. He also said it explicitly in 1 Peter 3:21 that “baptism now saves you”

Bro your eisegesis is insane. Taken literally this means you don't have to believe in the Father or the Holy Spirit. Which is absurd. You don't read the sacred scriptures in the way they were intended to be read and consequently you are doing major damage to yourself and others.

Its frustrating watching Alex Jurado. He’s very condescending and deceptive, and has no troubling freely twisting scripture to achieve his goals. “Believe in the gospel” that’s not what it says but that’s what he wants it to say in order for him to put conditions on top of his Catholic doctrine to say that all those works they do are NECESSARY for salvation.

I enjoy your content

Ryan makes his point and spends what seems like thousands of years asserting it as if fact. not to mention he'll just cut up these clips to reaffirm his view. The other guy is voice of greasin' I don't care about him anymore.

I encourage others to watch, it because midway of the discussion, when it is work, obedience.. and Ryan is using that "catholics say you miss mass you lose salvation", there is a gotcha moment where Ryan actually describes doing work based. Im at 1:18

I watched the whole video with you vs vor, and I think you did an excellent job unpacking the topics and representing the Gospel of Grace. Well done and thank you.

U should be caged

Is this like proof-texting?

Stop reaching out to kids, you are obviously coming off as a predator.

Creepy heretic

Obedience that springs from faith Paul • Romans 6:16–18 — you become slaves of the one you obey; they “obeyed from the heart” the teaching they received, and that obedience leads to righteousness. • Romans 15:18 — Christ working through Paul produced “the obedience of the Gentiles, by word and deed.” • Romans 1:8 with 16:19 — Paul first praises their faith known worldwide, then their obedience known to all. The letter treats the two as belonging together. • Galatians 5:6 — “faith working through love.” That is the shortest Pauline version of an obedient life springing from faith. • Ephesians 2:8–10 — saved by grace through faith, not by works; then “created in Christ Jesus for good works.” • James 2:14–26 — faith without works is dead; Abraham’s faith was “completed by his works.” • Hebrews 11:8 — “By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called…” Faith is the root; going out is the fruit. Other places • John 15:5–10 — abide in Christ, bear fruit, keep the commandments. The life comes from union with Him, not from self-powered rule-keeping. • 1 John 2:3–6 — we know we know Him if we keep His commandments; whoever says he abides in Him ought to walk as He walked.

He looks for verses in the Bible to validate his viewpoint, but then disregards every other one that calls him to more than only what he believes (which he rejects).

Hope and pray that all Protestants come into the Church. May God bless them all according to His will! 🙏✝️❤️

Catholics can't be taught

Also, why so many Catholics ally with Islam against Jews and Protestants?🤦♀️

Acts 2 predates the mystery revealed to Paul

“Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and ‘you will find rest for your souls.’ For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”” Matthew 11:28-30 TLV

Those endure will inherit. Those who conquer will inherit. That what faiths (loyalty) means. Stop trusting youth pastors with your spiritual lives.

Why ask paul when Christ gave the answer directly. Proof again that you worship Paul

Depending on when this was film Ryan, there's more important things going on than what you're discussing in the clip.

Are you willing to discuss a different view on 1 Timothy 2:15?

He will give eternal life to those who keep doing good. 🤷

Not wearing makeup and talking to children at 3 am nigga We can tell it's makeup.

"Faith" Trust, loyalty under uncertainty.

I would ask what does 'faith in Jesus' mean? Surely it means trusting that if we do what He tells us to do in order to be saved we will be saved but what does Jesus tell us to do if we want to be saved? Well, He started His public ministry with the message, 'Repent (Apologise for not loving God and neighbours and begin to love them now) and believe the good news'. One day the lawyer asked Jesus what he must do to be saved and Jesus asked him, 'What does the Law say?' to which he replied, 'Love God and neighbours' and Jesus told him he was right but the lawyer asked, 'Who is my neighbour?' so Jesus composed the parable of the Good Samaritan etc. etc. Jesus commands us to love God and our neighbours if we want to be saved. The Judgement scene in Matthew 25 is based on those who love God and neighbours and those who don't. The command to forgive others if we want to be forgiven is based on the command to love our neighbours/enemies. The command not to deny Jesus is based on love your neighbour/Redeemer/God. The command not to grow lukewarm in love is based on the command to love God and neighbours. The command/beatitude to be merciful is based on love God and neighbours. Catholics have faith in Jesus that if we repent and begin by the grace of God to love God and our neighbours we will be granted salvation through Christ. 1 John 3:21-24 21 Beloved, if our hearts do not condemn us (Clear conscience), we have boldness before God; 22 and we receive from him whatever we ask (including salvation), because we obey his commandments and do what pleases him. 23 And this is his commandment, that we should (1) believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and (2) love one another, just as he has commanded us. 24 All who obey his commandments abide in him, and he abides in them (state of grace). And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit that he has given us.

read john3:3-5, matt28:18-19,mark16:15-16,acts2:38, faith/believing without baptism, there is no salvation.
