What is the data on pediatric drowning outcomes? A 2016 systematic review with meta-analysis included 24 studies and >3000 pediatric drownings. Here’s the gist of what they found: Factors associated with survival were: -Submersion time (longer=bad) -EMS response time (longer=bad) -Salt water versus fresh water (salt water improved survival)...

The only one I’ve had survive (of say 10) was confirmed less than 3 mins in the water. Grandies did CPR until ambulance arrived, 15 mins from a reasonable size hospital… it’s always awful.

Most businesses are drowning in data. Few know how to swim. Even fewer realize their data could be their lifeboat. The smartest companies don’t have more data. They have a data brain 🤖🧠

And what about when he said so one ever survived a cardiac arrest with potassium over 11 ? If you have a patient with a potassium over 11 is that a reason you would stop CPR ?

What is adaptive support ventilation? So, the case is that you've just intubated a patient but can't get them transferred for several hours. You've tried volume control and pressure control and keep getting alarms. Your only RT for the entire hospital wants to try ASV. Most EM docs are probably not familiar with this. Listen to this termination of resuscitation… which is how it should happen. There are several things to note that Dr. Robby from The Pitt did here that are spot-on. 1. He, in no uncertain terms, told her parents that her cardiac arrest was non-survivable. This is not the time to list out percentages or probabilities. This is the time to provide certainty to the inevitable death. 2. He told the parents when the appropriate time was to terminate resuscitation. Notice… No one said, “hey, so, do you want us to keep going or what?”. When a statement like that or similar is used, what the family hear are, “so… do YOU want to let granny die now or what?” You, the medical professional, that understands physiology and abysmal outcome even if ROSC is achieved at this point should be the one bearing the burden of making that decision, not the family member. 3. He offered to allow the remaining family to come in before stopping all of the visible efforts of resuscitation. (see previous post on this topic) My general gist is something like this, “Johnny has had no pulse and no blood flow to the brain for 40 minutes. Even if all the things we are doing were to get his heart beating again, he has suffered permanent brain damage. He will never wake up and be the same person you’ve him as. Now is the appropriate time to stop.” More to come on potassium levels and cardiac arrest... #emergency #emergencymedicine #criticalcare #icu #erlife #iculife #science #army #armymedicine #armyemdoc #resuscitation #research #data #family #death #cpr #medx #medtwitter

Apart from the fact that the turbidity level of most rivers have moved from bad to worst in the last 8months, let no one mislead you to accept just tubidity level as measure. It’s just one indicator. What is the true measure of water quality is the WATER QUALITY INDEX by the Water Resources commission. It uses the turbidity levels and other 4 indicators to ascertain our water quality. That’s more comprehensive. st ixahalli Trors in the rdmye thewer And the records from 2005 - 2024 show clearly that, the water quality deteriorated from bad to worst anytime the NDC is in power and improves when NPP comes to power. As at 2010 when the river Galamsey escalated in earnest under the NDC government, the 40 fairly Good water were destroyed and as at 2016, the NDC left us with only 15 Fairly Good water and 25 Poor quality water. The NPP between 2017 - 2024 improved our water 15 to 29 Fairly Good water and reduced the poor quality water from 25 to 10 with 1 Good Quality water. Let no one tell you otherwise, the data is available online. Read for yourself. Galamsey remains a major challenge for this country and the earlier this NDC government realizes the times we are in, stop referencing Akufo-Addo and get to work to fix the situation the better. The record of the NDC per the data is clear. Times have changed and people are now ready to hear and understand the issues than they did in the past and there will be no room for misleading information. #GalamseyEnablers

The Fluoride Deception - 2004 Fluoride is yet another example on an endless list of many showing how industry has completely captured regulatory institutions and allowed criminal corporations to poison our environment with an obscene toxin, and then manufacture science to tell us it's for our benefit and that we actually need it. The only argument justifying the use of fluoride in our water is that it prevents cavities (which it doesn't), and even if it slightly did, the risk of neurological damage and reduction in IQ far outweighs any of the supposed benefits. Adding it directly to the water that people cook with, shower with, or drink, is categorically insane on every level with the currently available science, and the fact that the water fluoridation practice still continues in most US cities is a testament to how negligent and malicious our government is, and how they don't actually care about the science, just the same as with vaccines. It's almost as if they want to lower intelligence and IQ because you become far easier to control and subjugate. Even worse, when you begin to understand the synergistic toxicities between aluminum and fluoride in the brain and the aluminofluoride complexes that can result from the continued exposure to both toxins, you begin to get an understanding of why there are so many people in the US who are still sleep walking into oblivion, staring at the shadows in the cave and thinking that they're real. So here are some facts from the Fluoride Action Network about it's neurotoxicity that hasn't stopped the government from poisoning our water supplies. 2006: The National Research Council published Fluoride in Drinking Water, the most authoritative review of fluoride’s toxicity. It stated unequivocally that “fluorides have the ability to interfere with the functions of the brain and the body.” 2012: A Harvard-funded meta-analysis found that children ingesting higher levels of fluoride tested an average 7 IQ points lower in 26 out of 27 studies. Most had higher fluoride concentrations than in U.S. water, but many had total exposures to fluoride no more than what millions of Americans receive 2017: A National Institutes of Health (NIH) - funded study3 found that every milligram per liter (1 mg/L) increase in fluoride in pregnant women’s urine – about the difference caused by ingestion of fluoridated water4 - was linked to a reduction of their children’s IQ by an average 5-6 points. Leonardo Trasande, MD, a leading physician unaffiliated with the study, said it “raises serious concerns about fluoride supplementation in water.” 2019: A Canadian study10 found a nearly 300% higher risk of ADHD for children living in fluoridated areas. This reinforced earlier studies linking fluoride to ADHD in Mexico (2018)11 and the U.S. (2015). 2019: Another NIH-funded study in Canada found that babies fed formula mixed with fluoridated water averaged 6 IQ points less than those mixed with non-fluoridated water. Losses of non-verbal IQ were even more serious, an average of 13 points 2023: The National Toxicology Program’s draft scientific review14 documented 52 out of 55 studies linked higher fluoride levels with lower IQs. Of the highest quality studies, 18 out of 19 found this link. “Several of the highest quality studies showing lower IQs in children were done in optimally fluoridated (0.7 mg/L) areas

Data Centers are coaching their workers on how to lie to the public and their family about how Data Center water usage is actually a good thing “I work at an architecture firm that mainly does data centers, and just to give you all an idea of how out of touch the people making these things are. Today we had a meeting where we were essentially asked to defend the water usage of data centers to our friends and family in conversation at the dinner table or online. They provided them with a graph to break down water usage (included) but I’ll go over it The chart compares “domestic water usage” (toilets, sinks, etc.) for a typical-sized closed-loop data center of 600,000 gallons per year against other things of “equivalent square footage”: Cornfield: 5.85 million gallons Vineyard: 5.60 million Golf course: 5.45 million Peanut farm: 2.88 million Movie theater: 935,000 5 households: 730,000 They make the point that “Data centers aren’t the big water users you think” But that’s not really true “It's still using an incredible amount of water — and the key piece of evidence here was when someone gets pissed at a data center's water usage, ask them if they like golf. And when they say yes, let them know that a golf course uses 9 times as much water much water as a data center. That'll shut them up, because no one disapproves of golf courses using an exorbitant amount of water…” Not to mention, this is incredibly misleading The 600,000 gallons is mostly just building operations of things like sinks and bathrooms. It downplays or completely excludes the main water use, which is cooling the servers More fake propaganda

Read the story 👇 It's so often that those of us who work in EM and critical care see devastating injuries and wonder whether we're really making a difference... SPC Jordan Kirkpatrick is a U.S. Army Soldier who was riding his motorcycle on his day off when he had a high-speed collision. He had a bad TBI (IPH, SAH, DAI), pulmonary contusions, multiple rib fractures, skull fracture, facial fractures, femur fracture, multiple pelvic fractures, and a splenic laceration. EMS found him hypotense with a GCS of 3. Shortly after EMS arrival, he arrested. EMS started CPR, an i-gel was placed, and his chest was decompressed with ROSC achieved. In the ED, they intubated him, placed chest tubes, and transfusions were started. He was emergently taken to the OR for a multi-surgeon case and received >30 units of blood. Shortly after surgery, he went into ARDS/TRALI refractory to all medical management. uchealth LifeLine air lifted in very critical condition to University of Colorado Anschutz where he was emergently cannulated for ECMO. He had a bolt and EVD placed, was deeply sedated, paralyzed, and cooled for his TBI. He spent several weeks on ECMO in our CTICU and then was decannulated and transferred to our STICU, where he spent several months receiving dozens of procedures. I was part of his critical team in the STICU for several weeks. He's now almost fully recovered mentally and is making progress physically recovering. Next week, he will be discharged from in-patient rehab. He will rejoin his fellow Soldiers at Fort Carson and transition to the Soldier Recovery Unit. The video and photos are from him and his family documenting his journey. It's patients like Jordan who remind you that what you do matters. 🚨 Urgent Water Appeal from Gaza 🚨 Childhood in Gaza is not disappearing in a single moment. It is fading slowly— with every child walking through rubble carrying an empty jerrycan, with every family searching the ruins for a drop of water, with every mother wetting her lips just enough so her children can drink. In Gaza today, thirst is no longer a warning. It is a shadow moving between tents, between destroyed homes, between fragile bodies trying to survive another day. Children here no longer dream of toys. They no longer ask about school. They no longer ask what tomorrow will bring. They ask only one question: “Will we drink today?” 💧 One child walked for hours between destroyed streets. Not looking for comfort. Not looking for safety. Just looking for water. A single container. One small jerrycan. The sun disappeared behind the ruins. And the container stayed empty. The child returned to the tent with nothing. 💧 Clean water is running out. Families across Gaza are collapsing under the weight of thirst. Thirst here is no longer temporary. It is relentless. It follows families from morning until night. Skin dries and cracks. Lips split and bleed. Small bodies weaken quietly. Children cry softly so their parents will not feel more pain. Tiny hands reach out— not for toys, not for sweets, not even for dreams. Just for a single cup of water. 💧 And yet, in the middle of this silence, three voices refused to look away. 🔥 Felix (GoliathFan1952) ✨ William Menaker (Will 🦥 Menaker) 🤍 Eyup Lovely (Eyup Lovely) They did not scroll past. They did not wait for someone else. They used their voices when silence would have been easier. And because of them, water trucks moved through the destruction, reaching families who had nothing left. For children in Gaza, water is no longer ordinary aid. It is the thin line between: a child collapsing from thirst or waking up tomorrow. Between a mother losing hope or finding the strength to keep her children alive. What you gave was more than water. It was life. It was mercy. It was a moment where thirst loosened its grip on a family. But the need has not stopped. 🚨 Time is running out. Every moment of delay means another empty container. Another child searching the ruins. Another family losing strength. 👉 Donate now. Because thirst does not wait. 💧 Because in Gaza, water means survival. If water reaches a family tonight, a child may wake up tomorrow. If it does not— tomorrow will begin with thirst again. 💧

🚨 EXTREMELY URGENT APPEAL FOR GAZA 🚨 Childhood in Gaza is not disappearing suddenly; it is being erased slowly and painfully, drop by drop, with every day that passes without water, and with every child who walks between tents and rubble searching for a single sip that might allow them to breathe and stay alive. One child spent long hours moving from place to place in search of water—not asking for toys, not for safety, not even for a future, but for just one sip to keep their small body alive—only to return with empty hands. 💧 Water is running out, and children in Gaza are dying of thirst before the eyes of the world. In Gaza, thirst is no longer a possible danger or a future threat; it has become a daily, deadly reality that slowly exhausts fragile bodies and turns life into a constant struggle for survival. Small, fragile bodies collapse from dehydration, cracked lips bleed from thirst, and tiny hands reach out—not asking for food or medicine, but for one thing only: water 💧 This week, in a rare moment of humanity amid a cruel global silence, three people refused to be part of that silence and chose to stand in the face of death: 🔥 Felix (GoliathFan1952) ✨ William Menaker (Will 🦥 Menaker) 🤍 Eyup Lovely (Eyup Lovely) They did not turn away, they did not wait for justifications, and they did not delay action. They used their voices and their positions when silence was the easier choice, and because of them, clean drinking water reached children and families who were only moments away from dying of thirst. In Gaza, a cup of water is no longer a basic human right; it has become the harsh line between a child surviving until morning and a mother holding her child’s lifeless body at dawn. What you gave was not a passing donation—it was a real act of rescue, a direct intervention against death, and a clear message that humanity has not yet disappeared. Your voices pierced the siege, your support opened a path to life, and your solidarity became a shield protecting children at a moment when they had nothing else. 🚨 Time is running out, and every hour without water brings another child closer to danger. 👉 Donate now, because waiting can be fatal. 💧 Because water in Gaza means life If water arrives tonight, a child may survive and sleep in peace. If it does not— there may be no good news in the morning.

🚨 EXTREMELY URGENT APPEAL FOR GAZA 🚨 Childhood is being erased—slowly and painfully. A child searched desperately for a single drop of water… and found none. Water is running out. Children are dying of thirst. In Gaza, thirst is no longer a future risk. It is a deadly reality. Small, fragile bodies. Cracked lips. Outstretched hands asking for nothing but a sip of water. They acted when others hesitated. And because of them, clean drinking water reached children and families who were being slowly killed by dehydration. In Gaza, a cup of water is no longer a basic human right 💧 It is the difference between a child surviving and a child being carried lifeless. Between a mother holding her children alive… or saying goodbye in silence. What you did was not a simple donation. It was life-saving action. Your voices helped break through the siege, your support opened a path to survival, and your stance became a barrier against death by thirst. While the world turned away, you proved that humanity still resists 🤍 This is not an ordinary thank-you—it is recognition of lives saved. 🚨 TIME IS RUNNING OUT 🚨 Every hour without water puts another child at risk. 👉 Donate now. 🚨 EXTREMELY URGENT APPEAL FOR GAZA 🚨 Childhood in Gaza is not fading quietly. 🚨 Donate Urgently to Provide Clean Water for Gaza’s Children 🚨 In Gaza, a child does not ask for toys. They do not ask for new clothes. They ask for one thing: “Can I have water?” Why should a child wake in the middle of the night with a dry mouth, burning lips, and an empty bottle beside them? Why should a mother hold her thirsty child, search every container in the tent, and find nothing? Not one clean drop. Thousands of children in Gaza are living through this every day. Children walk beneath unbearable heat, carrying empty containers heavier than their small bodies. Some wait for hours beside water trucks. Some drink unsafe water because thirst leaves them no choice. Others fall asleep dehydrated, not knowing whether water will come tomorrow. 💧 This campaign is not about comfort. It is about survival. Clean water is not a luxury. It is the difference between life and death. In Gaza today, families are rationing every drop. Mothers are forced to choose between giving water to a thirsty child or saving it for cooking. Children are washing, drinking, and surviving with amounts of water that would barely be enough for one person elsewhere. Inside tents that feel like ovens, babies cry from thirst. Parents wet their children’s lips with the final drops they have, while silently praying that a water truck will arrive before it is too late. We are Mohammed Project — working directly from the heart of Gaza. Every day, our team moves between displacement camps and shelters, delivering clean drinking water to families who have nowhere else to turn. We see children running toward the trucks with empty bottles. We see mothers waiting with fear in their eyes. And every time the water runs out, we hear the same desperate question: “When will you come back?” The truth is painful: We can only return if donations continue. Without urgent support, the trucks may stop. And when the trucks stop, thousands of children are left without clean water. ✨ This lifeline continues because some people refused to remain silent: 🩷 William Menaker (Will 🦥 Menaker) helped turn compassion into clean water for children suffering from unbearable thirst. 🩷 Eyup Lovely (Eyup Lovely) stood beside Gaza’s families when they had no one else to call. 🩷 Felix (GoliathFan1952) used his voice so that thirsty children would not be ignored. 🫂 Your support was not symbolic. It became water in a child’s hands. It cooled the lips of a dehydrated baby. It gave exhausted mothers one less reason to fear the night. 🙏 Please donate today. A child in Gaza should not have to cry for water. A mother should not have to watch her child suffer from thirst. 👉 Donate now and help us keep the water trucks moving. Because in Gaza today… Water is not just water. Water is life.

Try to name one leader alive today who would do this. In 325 BC, in the middle of a desert that was killing his army, Alexander the Great was handed the only water his men had found for miles. He had brought them there himself. Coming home from India there were safer roads, but he chose the Gedrosian Desert, in what is now southern Iran and Pakistan. The Greek historian Arrian is clear that he knew what he was doing. He went that way because almost nobody had ever brought an army through it alive: legend said the queen Semiramis came out the other side with twenty men, and Cyrus the Great with seven. Alexander wanted to beat them both. The crossing took sixty days. Arrian writes that the suffering on that march was out of all proportion to anything his troops had endured in Asia. They moved at night, and men fell asleep where they collapsed. The sick were left at the roadside, because there was nobody to carry them and no time to stop. Somewhere in the middle of it, a few soldiers went looking for water and found a tiny trickle in a gully. They scraped up what they could, tipped it into a helmet, and carried it back to their king... Every man watching him was dying of thirst. So was he. "Alexander, with a word of thanks for the gift, took the helmet and, in full view of his troops, poured the water on the ground." There was not enough for all of them, so he would not take what he could not give. And Arrian records what that did to an army of men who could barely stand: "So extraordinary was the effect of this action that the water wasted by Alexander was as good as a drink for every man in the army." They got up, and they marched. We now live in an age of leaders who start wars their sons will never fight, who ask for sacrifices they would never dream of making themselves, who are always the first to be spared and the last to pay the price. Alexander was often ruthless and deeply flawed, yes, but he was a true leader and he knew that real power has never come from standing above your people, but from going thirsty beside them…

Modern psychiatry rests on a made up narrative, says Robert Whitaker, publisher of Mad In America. Here’s how two studies on schizophrenia made him realize things were amiss: “One was a study by Harvard researchers published in 1994 which looked at longer term outcomes for schizophrenia patients, and they said they had *declined* since the 1970s—not improved—and were now no better than they had been in the first third of the 20th century. Now we look back at the first third of the 20th century as these dark ages. So how can it be that with these modern drugs that fix chemical imbalances, we are no better [off]?” The second study was done by the World Health Organization that compared outcomes for patients in three developing countries - India, Colombia, Nigeria - to longer term outcomes in the US and five other developed countries: “The outcomes in the developing countries were much, much better than in the developed countries—so much so that they concluded that living in a developed country is a strong predictor that you won't have a good outcome if you're diagnosed with schizophrenia.” And here’s the big difference: In the developing countries, they used the antipsychotic drugs *short-term* instead of long-term like they do in America. Whitaker decided he needed to investigate further, and that’s when he realized there was no basis to the idea that these drugs are fixing chemical imbalances in the brain, contrary to what we’d been told for decades. “I started calling up people… who had told me that the drugs fixed the chemical imbalance in the brain. I said: ‘Can you just show me where you found that too much dopamine is the cause of schizophrenia? Or can you show me where you actually found that too little serotonin is the cause of depression?’ And I swear to God, here's what they said: ‘Oh, we didn't actually find that. That's a metaphor for explaining why they should take the drugs - like insulin for diabetes.’ And I said: ‘I understand that like insulin for diabetes is a metaphor, but, surely, you actually found these chemical imbalances. And I just want to read the research where you did.’ And the first person says: ‘No, we didn't really find it.’ Second person: ‘No, we didn't really find it.’ And then I went to the makers of Risperdal, which is a second generation atypical, and Risperdal was being marketed as fixing not only a dopamine imbalance in the brain, but as a serotonin imbalance in the brain. “And I actually managed at that time to get to the actual researchers, and you know what they said? ‘Yeah, that's just such nonsense…I'm sort of embarrassed that we say this,’” he told me.
