The true narrative they're pushing is "if you expose our hypocrisy, if you expose our abuse, if you expose our lies, we'll sabotage you in retaliation!"

Women are always being used as pawns. Our stories don’t matter if the villain of our story isn’t correct. We all know this. If your abuser isn’t someone the mainstream is interested in maligning, they’ll ignore you. If they want to malign him, they’ll use you and your story as a bludgeon. None of this is new. There’s a lot we don’t know about this situation, but one thing I do know for sure is that if he was still in the mainstream then none of these media outlets would have given any of these women any airtime. They don’t care about women. They care about serving their agenda.

The MSM is the enemy of the people!

Concur. It ALWAYS ends up leading to discrediting real victims. Let’s make it clear that ethical journalism is only done by citing on record or documentable evidence. Anything OTHER is tabloid gossip. @rustyrockets has a right to his good name, and presumption of innocence.

princess diana president kennedy bobby kennedy john lennon rik mayal now russel brand all flew to close to the sun yes who knows if hes guilty or innocent if guilty this filthy industry knew about it and tolerated it until he shook the tree of power

The most balanced take I’ve heard yet. We should be allowed to question how this is playing out while also supporting any potential victims who speak out. Haven’t got a clue what the truth is but we should allow a fair and unbiased investigation for everyone concerned.

Thats great and all @rosemcgowan , but why didnt you choose to be objective like this with Michael Jackson ? You cherry pick , and its very hypocritical.

Thanks for the much need insight

There's a lot of journalistic malpractice going on. In the times article, they quote Brand in a phone call where he's going to bring his assistant over naked for jimmy Savile's enjoyment. They write this like it's real, but it was a comedy bit.

Then I'm confused... Why did Ronan Farrow allow victims to speak anonymously in his Harvey Weinstein piece... What narrative was he pushing?
