She’s very accurately describing the mental discipline of deleting my own personal story. She uses the word “tags”. Labels. Deleting my own personal story does not delete my essence. It frees my essence. Identification is the root cause of all misery. Identification is holding on to a label. “I identify as (fill in the blank)”; unrest automatically ensues.

This is actually very stupid. Your religion, profession, ethnicity, and nationality aren’t “superficial” aspects of a deeper abstract self. You are what you do and believe. The idea that there is some “core” self besides your conduct, beliefs, & relationships is superstitious.
