What it felt like watching last night's ITV debate

These formats never work. Let's have each person properly interviewed for half hour on say 3 /4 topics, question phrased exactly the same for each, then Fact check plus 15 mins public comment on how they did afterwards do that twice a week & that way people may learn something

It was a really awful format. Too many topics, too little time for answers. It was just soundbites and cross-talk.

It was very poorly formatted where there was no fact checker, little time to answer and presenter lost control over the AI robot whose answers were scripted and stuck on £2000 tax rise 😂

Crap format coupled with a poor presenter.

👏🏻If you’d have included all the extra time Sunak had after using his ‘this is important’ technique on the host, it’d be spot on.

Had to switch off after 20 minutes. Like PMQs with a better behaved audience. You can get more depth than allowed in that format in a decent tweet. Better up your game media & candidates before next one
