What it solves QC will power the next frontier of problem solving across all industries; including finance, health sciences, drug and material discovery and AI. All computing as we know it is about to be flipped. Problems which are unsolvable today, will be. QC will solve problems we don't...

QUANTUM COMPUTING The next big tech frontier, awaiting it's "AI moment". This is the industry I am most bullish on today. Imagine buying Bitcoin at $500.

How it works? Unlike normal computing, based on 1s or 0s. Quantum Computers can hold multiple states at the same time. It's called superposition. When QCs solve problems, they explore many paths in parallel, making them exponentially faster today's tech. That's how Google was able to do a calculation this week in 5 minutes that would take today’s fastest supercomputers more time than the age of our universe! thats 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 years. The potential will blow your 🤯

Massive market size This year McKinsey said: "Quantum technology could create value worth trillions of dollars within the next decade.” BCG also found "more than 100 use cases stemming from four types of computational problems where quantum could have a technological advantage”. It's BIG. The reality is no one can comprehend the value unlock coming from Quantum in the future.

But isn't it decades away? Nope! The biggest supercomputers in the world can only simulate up to 50 qubits today. But QC startups are already hitting 10 logical qubits, and expecting to hit 100 within 2 years, and 1000s within 5 years. Tangible commercial value is already starting to be unlocked now, you can use QC on AWS, Google and Azure. It's being actively used in in various fields like medicine, defence and finance. Expect things to go 🍌🍌 from when we hit 100-1000 logical qubits in just a couple years.

And it's getting closer... People laughed at AI two years ago. Today it dominates the tech industry. We all know it's changing the world. Most jobs that exist today will be redundant or vastly different in 5-10 years because of it. QC will power further expansion of AI, and AI will also speed up the development of QC. They reflexively feed each other. Just today Rigetti announced the successful use of AI to tune their QC processors, saving weeks of time. Groundbreaking achievements like this are happening most weeks through 2024. In short, AI is compressing R&D timelines massively. Yet, Technology adoption curves were already shrinking at an ever increasing rate before we had AI.

Risky business Yes. Quantum computing will break current day encryption. All security standards, including Bitcoin need to be updated. Quantum will also open up an exciting new communication network which is infinitely more secure than today's. Quantum networks physically can't be intercepted without changing the information being sent and hence the threat being detected.

The Asset Class Most QC stocks are trading under $2B mcap. Excluding the MAG7 megacaps, the four US listed companies focusing exlusively on quantum are COMBINED under $10B today. That's: IONQ, RGTI, QUBT and QBTS. To put that in perspective, the marketcap of valueless memecoins in crypto exceeds $110B today. Memes are 11X bigger than the US Quantum industry! So a technology sector which will literally uproot everything we know and unlock trillions of value across perhaps every known industry in the next decade is trading for less than Dogecoin, Pepe and Shiba Inu... wow🐒

A river of money is coming. China is outspending the US on Quantum by 5X at present. It's clear that these numbers will have to change very soon as the risk of quantum supremacy approaches. We also know Trump wants to drive manufacturing in the US... he is also renewing 2017 tax cuts, set to expire next year. If nothing else, the Quantum Leadership Act of 2024 is heading to Senate in the immediate term to provide another $2.5B of funding to quantum development over next 5 years.

ChatGPT moment is coming. The power about to be unlocked is unfathomable. I expect QC will have its "AI Moment" within the next 2 to 3 years where its immense value becomes obvious, much like ChatGPT did less than 2 years ago. When this occurs, we will see a rapid repricing of this industry which is absurdly trading under $10B today despite its insane growth rate in processing power which shows no signs of slowing (qubits). When Bitcoin had a $10B mcap, it was trading for $500. Imagine buying Bitcoin at $500.

Warning The @Capriole_Fund has been trading quantum stocks mentioned in this thread for the last months. QC investments have vastly outperformed our Bitcoin and digital asset holdings through this period. Some are up over 600% in the last weeks alone but this does not guarantee any future positive returns for these assets. The Fund buys and sells these assets regularly. We do not recommend investing in Quantum or any other asset. All investments carry risk. Quantum computing businesses in particular are largely loss making today, and there is no guarantee they will ever become profitable, or that other large caps like Google, IBM or some other US or non-US entity will capture much of the benefit of this asset class instead of any businesses mentioned here. Do your own research and invest at your own risk.

🚨 QUANTUM COMPUTING: THE NEXT TECH GOLD RUSH Quantum computing (QC) is about to blow up the tech world. Think of it as AI on steroids—but here’s the kicker: the entire U.S. quantum sector is worth less than Dogecoin. Imagine buying Bitcoin at $500. That’s where QC is today. Regular computers process in 1s and 0s. QCs use qubits, which can be 1, 0, or both at the same time (superposition). Translation? They solve ridiculously complex problems insanely fast. Google recently ran a calculation on its quantum chip in 5 minutes that would take the world’s fastest supercomputer 10 septillion years to complete. Yes, that’s older than the universe. Why it matters: QC isn’t just a cool science project—it’s a game-changer: Medicine: Design drugs in weeks, not years. Finance: Smarter investments, faster decisions. AI: Supercharges AI, making today’s breakthroughs look tiny. McKinsey predicts QC will add trillions to the economy in the next decade. Entire industries will be rewritten. We are closer than most people think. Quantum startups are already hitting 10 qubits, aiming for 100 in 2 years and thousands in 5 years. QC is already solving real problems in medicine, defense, and finance, and platforms like AWS and Google let you rent quantum power right now. Here’s the wild part: the entire U.S. quantum sector is trading for less than a meme coin. Meanwhile, China is outspending the U.S. 5 to 1 in quantum development. Legislation like the Quantum Leadership Act is injecting billions into R&D, but QC’s “ChatGPT moment”—where its potential becomes undeniable—is just 2-3 years away. The upside here is massive. QC isn’t just going to change industries—it’s going to flip them on their heads. When its moment comes, the repricing will be fast and brutal. The clock is ticking. Source: Charles Edwards
