Arre bhai, @simplykashif, tumne toh sahi kaha! Bitcoin ek digital gold hai. Lekin, kya tumhe pata hai, ki Jerome Powell ke is statement se kya matlab hai? Woh keh rahe hain, ki Bitcoin dollar ko replace nahi karega, lekin gold ke saath ek strong competitor banega.

This video was sent to me, I’m not even sure who made it, but the claim is that Trump’s new Strategic Bitcoin Reserve order is basically the modern version of the 1933 gold play, setting up a future revaluation of Bitcoin and gold while the dollar weakens. I’m not totally convinced, but it’s an interesting angle. What do you all think?

Bitcoin is Not Digital Gold (and Why You Should Care) In my keynote at @BitcoinConfEUR, I argued that the 'digital gold' analogy is fundamentally flawed. tl;dr Only if Bitcoin is used as peer-to-peer digital cash can it actually become digital gold. Check it out below:

WHEN GOLD RISES, IT’S NOT A GOOD SIGN Andrew Ross Sorkin nailed it on Real Time w/ Bill Maher - when gold hits record highs, it’s not a sign of strength. It’s a sign of fear. He said it clearly: gold rises when confidence in the dollar falls. Then, almost reluctantly, he acknowledged what Bitcoiners already know - #Bitcoin is digital gold. He might not own it yet… but he’s already describing why $BTC matters. 🪙
