What just happened?

Well first off, you just released an invasive species (goldfish) into the wild. In many places this is straight up illegal and carries a fine that can reach into the thousands depending on where you live.

Yeah, you should never do this, especially with goldfish. Thankfully they got eaten right away before they could breed like mad and wreck the ecosystem. Donate your unwanted fish instead! That's what I did when I had to give up my own goldfish; PetCo took it, no hassle.

An asshole put a foreign species in a lake. Flush your goldfish down the toilet and beat your pythons with a shovel.
