What kind of deer are these?

This isn’t a deer but a dik-dik, a small species of antelope native to eastern and southern Africa. These tiny animals, standing about 12 to 16 inches tall at the shoulder, are named for the alarm calls they make when frightened, which sound like "dik-dik." They are known for their large eyes with elongated preorbital glands, which produce a dark secretion used for marking territory. Dik-diks are monogamous, often forming lifelong pairs, and are highly territorial, with pairs defending their small range from other dik-diks.

Those are Dik-Diks. They’re tiny antelopes that barely drink water and regularly feed on berries and foliage. Those black spots under their eyes are preorbital glands that secrete a sticky substance to mark their territory.
