Thermochromic liquid crystals. Not technically a stone. Organic polymers that change color as they heat or cool.
Mood ring. Rumor is, if it turns black, you have no soul. 🤣
In the 90s if you didn’t have one of these no one knew what mood you were in. Although I was a goth teen so you didn’t need a ring to know what mood I was in 😂
In the 60’s and 70’s those were sold as mood rings.
In the 70s we called that a mood ring.
Look at the mettle in Arabic language written
Mood ring from 70s
Opal, diamond, and demantoid garnet heart brooch, c.1875
It's just a mood ring. Liquid crystal elements that change with temperature. Not a 'stone' as such.
A kidney stone, that sucker nearly killed me passing it. And I changed all those colors during the process. Glad to see they smoothed that spiky bastard down. It took on my color changing traits. Drink cranberry juice and yours will change different colors too.
Mood ring… they are blue when you are calm and peaceful. They make a bump and bruise on your head when your wife isn’t.
Moodring? So I have to do all that stuff for it to change color 🙃
Mood ring.
It reminds me of the old mood rings that were all the rage in the 70s.
@grok name the stone please
Mood ring? I had several back in the day.
A mood ring? It’s a clear glass cabochon painted with thermochromic liquid crystals over black paint.
Mood ring
That stone is amazing. But why am I more curious about the markings on the sides?? 🤔
How well do I remember these? Well enough to have seen this commercial many times in 1976:
Something you used to find inside a crackerjack box.
Keith Richards...? 🤷🏻♂️ 😂🤣
Mood ring and a pretty one
That’s a mood ring. Very popular in the 80s
Mood ring? If it is, it could be 50 years old!
…stupid bees. #IYKYK
I low key NEED this exact ring though...... 😳
It's not, it's liquid crystal.
When someone bought that mood ring, they probably picked up a pet rock too.
Mood ring ... not sure of the stone 🤔
A cool one 😂
In love with it
Cheap cheap!
Opal?
Mood stone, it changes color depending on your body temperature.
