I can tell you as a PhD scientist, and an MD, and as a chronic disease patient that both those inside and outside the established systems are pissed off at what we’ve collectively constructed. The system isn’t evil—it’s not human and doesn’t have intention, virtue or vice. It’s just profoundly misaligned with what matters most: human health. My call to action is simple: we need to find a way to come together – to let data be data, have authentic open discussions, and pull back the veil on the broken systems that are hurting all of us.
