It isn't good to be a big fish in a little pond?

That tidal pools were a necessary part of bringing complex animal life from the seas to land. Those creatures who evolved the ability to move from the tidal pools across land back to the sea survived & thrived. Eventually, these would evolve into amphibians, reptiles & mammals.
