Life in the year 1988

Simpler times. I don't know, from my own perspective, the more we advance (in time and tech), the more life becomes more exhausting. I miss those times.

Life seems a lot more “real” back then somehow. Probably because more of life was tangible instead of inside a computer

Civilization was at its peak and we had no idea.

A woman with $20 of groceries before going to her $15,000 house in 1980

A housewife poses with a weeks’ worth of groceries in 1947. She spends an average of $12.50 a week (not including milk) to buy her groceries. On this budget, she is able to feed herself, her husband, her 2 children, and her cat.

Shit will never ever ever be like that again. And it makes me a little sad. Sometimes debilitating sadness.
