“You’re all familiar with the story of Lazarus…” “Story” is the key word here. Your book says lots of things. It’s the book of claims of Christianity. When a non-Christian asks for evidence, and you point to your book, you’re simply making another claim. To any critical thinker, this is just laughable. What more could god do? God could reveal himself to me directly. Gonna ask what that would look like or how I’d know it’s really god? God would know how to do it such that I’d know beyond any doubt that it’s truly god.

What it might mean for people that dont want to give up their favorite feel-good sins/habits. Most want the gifts of heaven, but not the owner of it.

Exactly. I think we call this self deception spiritual blindness. It’s unbelief because of the hardness of heart. Pride and selfishness make it possible. Those who seek God, find Him.

Also This: John 20:29 KJV Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

What's more in future it gets even crazier. Jesus rules from Earth in an Earthly utopia for 1000 years. Death becomes super uncommon. No poverty. No war. No injustice. Near end of 1000 years Satan gets released from prison, and much of population still rebels one last time.

Romans 1:19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. 21 For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.

This is a horrible argument. He's God, he can do anything. He can just show up and say hi.

Yikes. Of course he can. But that doesn’t accomplish the greater purpose, does it?

He has done it all and gave all. Glory to the Lord our God! Romans 1:18 - Man suppresses the truth in unrighteousness. I made every excuse and He still drew me in 😭
