LBJ succeeded Nixon as VP and then Nixon succeeded LBJ as President.

Robert Caro writes about how LBJ would have his assistants water down his drinks while providing everyone else regular alcohol drinks. LBJ would then appear to be drinking a lot but it was watered down, allowing him to score many victories.

There is a lot to learn from interviews with President Nixon.
