I see someone’s drawn your attention to the fact it might be police training which is a reasonable guess and I think it’s probably along the right sort of lines but in saying that if it is police training they are clearly not looking out for the safety of the public.

Same happen in front of me on A30 this year. Concluded they were practicing in broad daylight. Fine, but no apologies given for creating a massive tailback and delaying people on their travels (the people who pay their wages and have been hammered for drifting over the limit).

It’s a training exercise something you regularly, holding up, paying members of the public so they can fuck about on our motorways !!

I once saw 3 police cars chasing a vehicle down the back lanes in rugby...I saw them coming so blocked my works van across the road thinking I was doing a good deed...the car stopped Im waiting for the entertainment to start but no they were training...copper wasn't happy 😀😀

This is standard police TPAC (Tactical Pursuit and Containment) training: using marked + unmarked cars to safely halt a fleeing vehicle at speed. Routine exercise, not real pursuit.

They’re training for making blocking manoeuvres. The black car is also police.

I mean I guessing they are police cars with police drivers practicing a containment procedure? What else would you possible think it could be??

This is common to see on UK motorways. If you look at the beginning of the video there is another police car behind that backs up the traffic for a few minutes while this practice is over. It all takes about 5 minutes max.

I saw police in Wakefield practising this in a busy A road yesterday.

This TPAC is too uneventful and too well executed. They didn't smash windows. And the Peugeot didn't crash into any of these police cars. Must be a training exercise.
