We still dont know what drones have been doing around our bases. This from men responsible for figuring it out and fixing it. It seems to have been inferred it might be CCP. Our national defense seems sorely lacking in favor of projecting power.

A Ukrainian leader already said that Ukraine can't repeat this operation because Russia will add defenses against drones and scrutinize suspicious trucks near military bases. If other countries do the same, they'll be safe too.

its more like 34% taken out by ukraine, then we have to calculate in how shitshape the other bombers are... so a fair assesment would be half the bomber squatt would be not operational. I dont think russia has the capabilities to strike US with bombers.

Such an attack against an *unprepared* adversary also creates a dilemma: scramble some makeshift defense on the fly which will be suboptimal and divert resources or risk it happening again.

That gaping hole should've been evident (at least) since russian aircraft were bombed by small, improvised drones at Khmeimim air base in Syria in early 2018.
